Original Sin is a 2001 erotic thriller film starring Angelina Jolie and Antonio Banderas. It is based on the novel Waltz into Darkness by Cornell Woolrich, and is a remake of the 1969 Francois Truffaut film Mississippi Mermaid. Haven't seen this in years but I remember loving it and not just for the obvious reasons.

Original Sin

The story is actually nothing original, but it's still good as it's tackled in another era (and in Cuba), and so it makes it unique. The thing that drags this movie down is it's quite boring and young 'chipolata lips' is just quite annoying - that refers to Jolie if anyone was wondering. Personally, I don't find her attractive, and this role relies on her beauty a lot. Banderas is good, but a little annoying as he falls in love too quickly (probably lust) and then proceeds to love her even though she's a money-grabbing bitch. But Thomas Jane was great in it.

All of the sexual scenes were cut in my copy, so this is a green-band review. ;)

I remember enjoying this, but I haven't seen it since I was eleven. :P So I have no idea if I'd still enjoy it now. I remember Jolie being really good in it though.

And I'd always heard it was bad so I avoided it.
