Doctor Zhivago
Doctor ZhivagoQuote: Doctor Zhivago is an American 1965 epic drama–romance film directed by David Lean, starring Omar Sharif and Julie Christie. The film is loosely based on the famous novel of the same name by Boris Pasternak. It has remained popular for decades, and as of 2012 is the eighth highest-grossing film of all time in the United States, adjusted for inflation.

Re: Doctor Zhivago
Cinema does not come more epic, romantic, and touching than this David Lean masterpiece. This is a film I can revisit over and over and over again, despite its extended length. I saw it on the big screen earlier this year (amazing). Every creative choice, from the elegant and gentle original score to the way Lean captures how the title hero is swept along and defined by a fast and mystifying world (now history) he cannot control, is just spot-on to the max. This is my third favorite film and one of the main reasons I fell in love with film.

Re: Doctor Zhivago
Its a grand epic storyline...
You look back after the film and it feels like you watched 2-3 movies or something.
