I would rank it between the first and second in terms of enjoyment/quality. The 3D is so over-the-top and fun and it is nice to see the two guys back in action again. Also, the claymation scene is all kinds of awesome. However there are some parts, like the baby getting on all the drugs, that are just tiring and disturbing. **1/2

Re: A Very Harold & Kumar 3D Christmas
I don't know how the baby getting high on coke is 'disturbing'...you came to see a movie called 'A Very Harold & Kumar 3D Christmas'...Also...plz stop using the phrase 'all kinds of awesome'. It sounds stupid.
Anyway, the movie's exactly what I'd expect. Worthwhile to see if you liked the first and second. Agree w/ jmovies in that it isn't as good as the first, though I'm happy we're already at #3 (and, if you believe NPH, we'll get a fourth. Woo!).
Also...not sure it's worth seeing in 3-D; in fact, I only remember use of 3-D in the intro with the 'occupy wall street'-esque protestors, basically all scenes that involve smoking, and the scene where danny trajo enjoys his new sharp acquos 3-D LED tv...

Entertaining but completley forgettable.
The baby jokes seems like it's ... below H&K standards if you believe that sentence. That's Todd Philipps level comedy writing
Also I would personally dump the more fantisiacal elements in the next one. It didn't really hurt my enjoyment cause this is a movie that in should no way be taken seriously, and the Christmas element makes it excusable, but I'd rather they stay rooted in reality and not in the "joint boomerangs back in the window to set up entire plot" "baby crawl on the ceiling" "richochet Beirut ball" jokes zone

Free from the gravity of Earthly concerns, H&K soar! Loved it - - a return to the heights of their debut !!!
(They seem to got that anti-Star Trek odd-good/even-bad rhythm goin' on.)
187.5 out of 5.
(This one's certainly the Neil Patrick Harriest!!!)

Re: A Very Harold & Kumar 3D Christmas
I wasn't as satisfied as I wanted to be by this... Number 2 was almost perfect just had a few lazy/uneffective joke attempts (cockmeat sandwich).
But it was good enough to where I want a 4th. Maybe because it's only a splash of NPH that his parts are the best, but...I'd be at excitement-to-the-ceiling levels if the 4th was Harold & Kumar & NPH where he shared as much screen time as the titular two.

A VERY HAROLD & KUMAR CHRISTMAS - B/B+ A huge step up from the second. A very cute, funny flick and better than I expected. Wish it would have done better at the Box Office. Wouldn't mind a fourth someday. But if they don't make another at least it went out on a high. Ha .

Re: A Very Harold & Kumar 3D Christmas
It's totally ridiculous, but a lot of fun. And better than the too-serious second one. Had I seen it in 3D, I'm sure I would've appreciated its gimmicky nature even more, but it's still perfectly entertaining. And the self-referential jokes (calling Harold 'Sulu'; joking that Kumar works at the White House) are both hilarious and not out-of-place at all.
Bring on the next one!
