Re: Les ojos de Julia [Julia's Eyes]
8/10 -> B
Up until the final act the movie is actually quite outstanding and it has a brilliantly crafted atmosphere. It doesn't lag, it moves with such a fast pace, gives a few classic scenes. But then the final act manages to lessen the impact of everything that came before it. Instead of a frenzied and scary ending we're treated with a drawn out mix of action and explanations, which are completely unnecessarily as they only repeat what was clearly stated before and the reveal itself connects the missing dots, so draggy dialogues slow down the movie a bit too much and near it to the point where it almost becomes slightly boring. But still. I very much admire the first two thirds which made the movie for me.
