Quote:
Jackass 3D (also known as Jackass 3) is a 2010 American 3D comedy film and the fourth film (following Jackass 2.5) in the Jackass series. It was released on October 15, 2010 by Paramount Pictures and MTV Films to American theaters and marked the 10th anniversary of the franchise, which started in 2000.

This was the last Jackass film that Ryan Dunn starred in before his death after injuries sustained in a car crash in West Goshen Township, Pennsylvania on June 20, 2011.

My advice is save your money unless you really like Jackass. About a quarter of the skits are funny, the rest is just male nudity and puking. Barely any 3D made this not worth the 12.50 at all. Although I was never that big on the TV show, I remember having a blast watching the second movie in the theaters. I wonder if that would hold up today.

Anyways, I'm giving this a C-.

Jackass 3D is a buttload of fun and with the added 3D, may just be the best one yet. It's the usual kind of stints over again but some were definitely highlights for the entire series. Yet again, for those with the weak stomach, you'll probably puke at a couple of these acts (notably 'Sweaty Cocktail' and flying port-a-potty). It does what it set out to do just fine. **1/2

Well I know better than to watch this in 3D. Please. I'll watch it in 2D at matinee prices.

Other than the opening and closing credits, which were pretty well edited and clever, there is no need to see the film in 3d. Steve-O was more toned down which is a good thing for him.

I thought the most humorous skit was with Weeman and the bar fight.

If you like Jackass, you will like it; if you don't like Jackass or are easily grossed out, you will not like it.

Will be among the year's funnier movies, so it gets a high grade from me. With that said it's a step down from Jackass 2. Its best moments (Sweatsuit, Airplane, Christmas tree) are on par, the problem is there's a handful of stunts that just seem woefully uncreative for a film they had years to prepare for. Ski-dooing through a hedge, driving a scooter over a river, and the lake bounce thing... they couldn't come up with anything fresher than that? Also the superglue hair thing... entertaining to watch, but also very tame for Jackass standards. Can't help but feel after a decade of money and pampering, some of these guys weren't willing to exert themselves as much as in JII. Knoxville is still a crazy mfer though and Stevo takes a gluttony of gross

Also it's nice to see Beavis and Butthead again

Definitely glad it was a step down gross-wise from the last one, I don't think I could have took it in the theater. It was an entertaining 90 minutes with some friends.

It's a step down from the first two, but it still made me laugh quite a bit. The dildo launcher and the stungun hallway were my particular favorites.

One thing I think the movie could've used was more behind the scenes insight, like what was done on 2.5. I thought the straight forward interviews were not only funny, but kind of insightful (I guess that's the word) as to how they work.

also, i know this sounds weird, but the closing credits got to me a bit. I forgot that the show came out 10 years ago and seeing some of the old scenes, actually had me thinking back to parts of my life. I know this sounds strange but as a 24 year old, this has been apart of almost half my life and made me thing back to some of the important moments of my life.

Mostly funny... definitely hit and miss. I'd put it at 70-30 in the hit to miss ratio.

Did enjoy the NFL bit with Jared Allen... makes you appreciate how hard those hits are. The midget bar fight was definitely the most creative/funny "candid camera" moment.

Grade: B-

Low brow, Bro!

Well tonight I belatedly had my first Jackass experience... and I laughed.

Yep, I'm now one of them future guys waiting in a long lineup to see Ow My Balls in the Idiocracy universe.

However, many of the skits demonstrated true excellence in the cruel stunt milieu. For example, Beehive Tetherball and High Five were almost balletic in their execution. The downside is the horrific acting linking sequences - - Yow! It's brutal. They'd be better off running a couple more guys through the stunts and/or adding more super slo-mo replays.

It's definitely something to see, and now I look forward to dipping back into the Jackass oeuvre and seeing what other sparkling gems of barbarity they have to offer.

5 out of 5.

{Note: I had to see it in entirely unnecessary 3D - - I can't wait till this 1800's vampire technology is struck down once again!}
