The Greatest is a potent drama that works well more with its cast than story. The film revolves a girl named Rose (Carey Mulligan) who finds out she is pregnant and the father Bennent (Aaron Johnson) was killed in a car crash with Rose in the passenger seat. Now coming to the support of Bennent's parents (Pierce Brosnan & Susan Sarandon), Rose hopes they can help her through her pregnant time. However Bennent's family, even closer to Rose's due date are still having troubles dealing with Bennent's death and as such are causing even new family problems. The story seems to work out predictably but it definitely has a lot of heart. Mulligan is great again as is Brosnan. The film lacks a little near the middle especially with Sarandon's character as she seems just a bit too desperate and sometimes the worry for her character fades away. All in all though it is a good drama to watch that is definitely in some ways "feel good". **1/2

I really enjoyed it. Very nice performances. A solid drama.
