Quote:
Food, Inc. is a 2008 American documentary film directed by Emmy Award-winning filmmaker Robert Kenner. The film examines large-scale agricultural food production in the United States, concluding that the meat and vegetables produced by this type of economic enterprise leads to inexpensive but unhealthy and environmentally harmful food. The film is narrated by Michael Pollan and Eric Schlosser, two long-time critics of the industrial production of food. The documentary generated extensive controversy in that it was heavily criticized by large American corporations engaged in industrial food production.

This is a monumentally important movie. It may not have the entertainment value and irreverence of Super Size Me or The Big One, but it is every bit as important, and deserves to be mentioned in the same list. Another must see that is similar is The Corporation.

Ok, compared to the above movies, maybe this is a B at best, but I'm giving in an A relative to all movies.

8/10 -> B

It's not a complete eye opener. I don't know about you but every Sunday during lunch we watch an agricultural show on TV and for years now I have been aware of this stuff. Granted things here aren't this awful yet as in the US, but we're getting there too (thank you EU very much).

It's a well made documentary.

I dig it a lot more than other "eco-docs" of recent times (The Cove especially). It's entertaining and informative without being smug or lecturing.
