Terrifying and bizarre as hell. I'd say it's Lynchian, if it didn't predate Lynch by a decade. The scene where the tiny man performs the Mozart opera, or where the guy walks up the wall, is pure surrealism.
And the fact that the whole thing is framed as some sort of 'true story' makes it even scarier. Gotta love Bergman's rampant self-reflexivity of the time.
