Madea Goes to Jail
Madea Goes to JailQuote: Madea Goes to Jail is a 2009 comedy-drama film adaptation written and directed by Tyler Perry, which was based on Perry's 2006 play of the same name. The play and the film deal with Perry's recurring character Madea Simmons going to jail for her uncontrollable anger management problems. The play starred Tyler Perry as Madea, Cassi Davis as Ella Kincaid and Cheryl Pepsii Riley as Wanda.

I'm trying to recall what's the last black film I saw in theatres?
Does Dreamgirls count?
If not, then the Shaft remake.

Re: Madea Goes to Jail
actually I saw the family that preys, and diary of a mad black woman, not to mention Weclome home Roscoe Jenkins, and other black movies in the past. And I plan to see this either tomorrow or wednesday. So am I still a racist?

Re: Madea Goes to Jail
not good bother giving this a real review. Its' rather funny, with some decent melodrama and some terrible melodrama. Not one of Perry's strongest or most humorous films, and is every bit as corny as they all are. A decent "escapist" flick that's worth watching on a plane for free. 5/10

Re: Madea Goes to Jail
I watched this with my parents. My mom and I would have been fine with shutting it off after so long but believe it or not my dad wanted to keep watching it . So we kept it on. I thought it sucked and wouldn't even know what to rate it.
