We Were Soldiers - B+

Amazing film. After the first 10 minutes i was thinking "hmmm, maybe it isnt going to be good", but then.....after about 30 mins, i was well into it, and i love this now, and it is most likely the best vietnam war film ever made.

Disgusting, patriotic bullshit! Only american soldiers had familys, only american soldiers showed compassion and whereas vietnamesian soldiers died quick without suffering, american soldiers were shown in big pain before they finally passed away. And then this fundamentalist religious players from Gibson. This movie is probably shown on a loop in Bush's office. (E)

*sigh*

It only concentrated on the American's side of the war. No wonder it showed the Vietnamese in a bad light, it is all propaganda at the end of the day.....that was what Americans were made to think of the Vietnamese during the Vietnam war, so i think its a realistic representation of the war itself.

Love it. One of the best War movies ever made and Gibson gives a great performance. The only real weakpoint is Chris Klein. A

Average war movie with good performances but misses the epic feel of SPR and BHD

Not as Great as SPR.

But it was brutal war film at its finest.

I agree.

The when the film is in the war scenes it is downright great, but when it comes back to the wives it just lags badly.
