Quote:
D-War (Korean: 디워), is a 2007 South Korean fantasy action film released in North America as Dragon Wars: D-War, War of the Dragons in Malaysia, and sometimes referred to colloquially and in some marketing materials as Dragon Wars. It is written and directed by Shim Hyung-rae. This was Korea's largest-budgeted film as of 2007.

This is a must see for fans of so-bad-it's-good cinema. It's one of the least coherent movies of all time, every scene of dialogue either involves both characters going on about some legend/destiny mumbo-jumbo or one person going on about said gobbledygook while someone else says "What are you talking about?" That's kinda how I think all three of the people in the theater felt throughout, although the big action scene where LA gets decimated is so gleefully retarded in how fucking bombastic it tries to be that it's impossible not to grin. Like, tanks vs. dinosaurs with bazookas attached to their backs! Independence Day only with helicopters and fire breathing dragon/pteradactyls replacing jets/flying saucers! Unfortunately the climax is much lamer, as it blatantly rips off Lord of the Rings and doesn't realize that two giant CGI snakes fighting each other is rather boring to watch.

Some will call D-Wars one of the worst movies ever and while I won't argue about that from a cinema snob p.o.v, I still gotta say that this was the most fun I've had in the theater in some time. Bring on D-Wars 2!

Screw Shoot 'em Up, here's a real A+ AND F movie.

It's not awful. Just don't try and figure out the story, or why it is the way it is. And keep thinking that some nice entertainment/action isnt too far off, which it isn't. Rather boring for 2/3 of the movie (though watching part when the guy that saw Bakurai (sp?) grab the elephant and throw it trying to explain to the psychologist what happened is pretty funny), and the "war" in the city I enjoyed quite a bit. And the final battle with the good Imoogi (sp?) and Bakurai (sp?) is..okay. A little dark though, not the scene but the setting of the scene. And I liked the classic Chinese Dragon look of the good Imoogi when he transformed into the dragon.

BWUAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!..................................I think I'm going to keel over and die, this film is sheer golden car crash entertainment.

The litany of special moments this film has to offer.

The opening section is the worst shoehorning of plot exposition into a film I have ever laid my eye's or ears on. Its as if they told pacing and progression to fuck off and the director just shoved 15 pages of script into an actors face and said. "Read all this for 20 minutes, and don't even bother trying to make it sound integrated into the film.

The first big CGI scene in the Middle Ages Korean village feels like its been shot by McG while he's been pumped full of steroids. The camera cuts jump like mad, and the bad guys artillary looks like giant jabba the hutt slugs with Stalin's Organs strapped to their backs.

The film dives from point to point with zero regard for logic, one minute you have some talking the next a stuptid parody of the US army is running around the mountains.

And speaking of the military, the jargon used makes no sense. I know military code can be a bit odd but this shit was off the scale.

Example: Whiskey Pineapple Bravo Big Tits, watch your 38369 you have pigs removing your shower curtains, be warned they are removing the shower curtains.

And somebody please explain to me where the fuck Mordor came from for the climax?

We don't need to lementthe potential loss of Uwe Boll, cause this guy is a worthy successor.....................and onefinal random note, funniest bit: When the FBI decide to move out and are leaving their offices and one guy literally walks out with a shotgun and pumps it!!

Oh the humanity!

This...is awful.

And, on top of that, not even a little entertaining. It bored the living hell out of me.
