Lonely Hearts
Lonely HeartsQuote: Lonely Hearts is a 2006 American film directed and written by Todd Robinson. It is based on the true story of the notorious "Lonely Hearts Killers" of the 1940s, Martha Beck and Raymond Fernandez. The story of Beck and Fernandez was also the subject of the 1970 film The Honeymoon Killers, directed by Leonard Kastle and the 1996 film Deep Crimson, directed by Arturo Ripstein.

Re: Lonely Hearts
This is a pretty decent Emmett/Furla production of the "Lonely Hearts Killers" of the 40s, and one I was not even aware was made until a few weeks ago. It's a great find, with a stellar cast too. Travolta is cool here. He's also big. Like, James Gandolfini big. And Gandolfini is in this too, so you can compare! Both of them are detectives, and I enjoyed their chemistry especially with Scott Caan's younger, annoying brother-type at play too. Jared Leto is probably the standout even though it's not as over-the-top or committed as it could have been. He just nicely fits that sneaky, thin, psycho type. Hayek is underused here but I don't know the extent of her character's participation so maybe it is accurate. She's fucking nuts, though. She gives Leto a blowjob then immediately after gives a cop a blowjob too. And she's all about the psychological game, twisting Leto's mind so he'll kill more and more women.
