Wes Craven is quality posion! At least thats the impression I get after watching another one of his "presented by" movies, this time in the form of The Breed.
Its cliche playbook time
Actors nearly 30 pretenting to be teenagers heading to Island for weekend of heavy petting and drink: Check
Something Not quite right with Island: Check
Island Home to abandoned facility for training guidedogs: Check
Dogs have turned into nasty drooling lunatics: Check
Much idiocy will Occur: Check
Oh and did I mention that getting bitten by the Dogs will result in a mind link state with the dogs! Or that if your name is Michelle Rodriguez you can survive an entire building blowing up!
Now there is comedy to be had, I laughed my head off when the dogs unmoored their seaplane and floated away on the wings. Or the ending which was so telegraphed and stupid it should win a captain obvious award.
No wonder this film only got a limited theatrical run, bar the unintentonal humour avoid this turkey.

Christ this movie was insane, the bit with Rodriguez and the exploding building is the most ridiculous part.

I really want to see this. It seems entertaining. But the mind link thing sounds really stupid.

Re: The Breed (2006)
Good to know. It probably has got nothing on My Soul to Take, Craven's finest directorial effort to date.
I was thinking of watching Tamara, though.

Re: The Breed (2006)
LeSamouraiDel'Ombre told me he watched 30 minutes of "tamara" and that it was so bad he contemplated suicide. so i think i better stay away from that one. though it couldn't possibly be worse than the haunting of molly hartley.

Re: The Breed (2006)
I would avoid watching ANY horror movie on SAT1, PRO7, RTL, etc. They are all edited/cut. That makes a bad movie even worse.
