While I didn't think it surpassed the original, it ranks more or less around it. I thought Meet the Fockers was hilarious, and Barbra Streisand and Dustin Hoffman were outstanding. Some of the scenes in the movie are too funny for words. My only problem was that it had a few slow moments, but I'd still highly recommend it.

Hilarious. Streisand, Hoffman and the kid are a good addition to the zany characters. I laughed hard several times, especially when the kid says "__" to Deniro on the bus.

Grade A

My silly little take:

Meet the Fockers: C
Meet the Parents, of which I am a fan of, worked so well because of its dry, unsuspecting humor. This film, though, tries way too hard to illicit laughs that it doesn't deserve; I felt like every time the audience erupted with laughter, it was because they were supposed to, not because the material was actually funny (and most of it isn't). Instead of those random, yet oddly clever, moments of awkwardness in the first film, we now get cats flushing dogs down toilets, old people making sexual references, football tackling (with the collective "OHHHH!" from the audience), a baby saying "asshole" about 150 times, and stun guns. Hardee-har. I'll give the film credit for its likable characters and the occasional funny moment, though (I can't remember what they are, but I know where were, oh, 5 or so of them). Barbra Streisand was my favorite. Overall though, and excuse my oh-so-witty repetition, but this movie is pretty focking lame.

It's not close to being in the same ballpark as the original, but it had plenty of laughs and was enjoyable.

Meet The Fockers: B-

I must say I was a bit disappointed by this. I expected it to be funnier, but it was good. It had some great performances, especially by Barbara Streisand, who was my favorite in the film, and Dustin Hoffman. Robert DeNiro wasn't very good, he seemed like he was sleep-walking through his role, but that was probably the purpose of his character I think. I thought the baby was annoying, and the whole asshole thing got tiresome after a while. It was entertaining though, and I thought the Fockers were hysterical. I really didn't like the ending though, it could of been funnier.

Already saw it a third time in theaters. Still entertaining after repeat viewings. Recommended buy when it comes out on DVD.

An absolutely enjoyable ride. The main stories aren't original, but Fockers doesn't look to be original. It's just a fun ride. Grade: A-

I'm not sure if I like it as much as the first one. All I know if that it was hilarious and I'm buying it when it comes to DVD.

I thought that the first was much better, comedy wise. The story was cool, everything went smoothly. I didn't laugh out loud the whole time, so I give it a B- or C+

Way better than the Original. I laughed so hard sometimes and most of the time because of the great Dustin Hoffman. He was the best part of the movie. DeNiro and Stiller had their funny moments (and there were many) too. Not expected to like it that much after the average first one. A-
