Flight of The Navigator is a 1986 Disney science fiction film directed by Randal Kleiser and written by Mark H. Baker and Michael Burton, about a 12-year-old boy named David who is abducted by an alien space craft and finds himself caught in a world which has changed around him. It was partially shot in Fort Lauderdale, Florida.

Saw it when it first came out with a group of adults and we all loved it - I'm surprised it hasn't developed a bigger reputation in the intervening 20 years...
I remember watching it as a kid, but I remember very little about it.

Imagine if they still made great movies like Flight of the Navigator in 2011, with (gasp!) cool sci-fi stories. Instead we get crap like Super 8 pretending to be a movie like this...
