Brokeback Mountain
Brokeback MountainQuote: Brokeback Mountain is a 2005 romantic drama film directed by Ang Lee. It is a film adaptation of the 1997 short story of the same name by Annie Proulx with the screenplay written by Diana Ossana and Larry McMurtry. The film stars Heath Ledger, Jake Gyllenhaal, Anne Hathaway and Michelle Williams and depicts the complex romantic and sexual relationship between two men in the American West from 1963 to 1983.
Brokeback Mountain won the Golden Lion at the Venice Film Festival and was honored with Best Picture and Best Director accolades from the British Academy of Film and Television Arts, Golden Globe Awards, Producers Guild of America, Critics Choice Awards, and Independent Spirit Awards among many other organizations and festivals.
Brokeback Mountain was nominated for 8 Academy Awards, the most nominations at the 78th Academy Awards, where it won three: Best Director, Best Adapted Screenplay, and Best Original Score. The film was widely considered to be a front runner for the Academy Award for Best Picture, but lost to Crash. Brokeback Mountain ranks 10th among the highest-grossing romance films of all time.

I don't really know how to sum up into few words how I thought about BROKEBACK MOUNTAIN. I guess I can start off by saying the last hour or so of the film, you could hear the whole audience cry and sniffle why the characters were saying their sad and sometimes depressing dialogue. The performance are great, everything is true what you heard about Michelle Williams, Jake Gyllenhaal and Heath Ledger. I'm shocked though that nobody mentions Anne Hathaway's brilliant performance. It was one of the best of the movie and she's not even going to be nominated for an Oscar, that's just sad. I saw this with my Granny and while she has a certain amount of homophobia in her, though not a lot, she still adored the film and cried at all of the certain parts. BROKEBACK MOUNTAIN is one of the best films of 2005 and I can't wait to go see it again in its normal run. I'm truely grateful I was able to see this advance screening.
9/10 (A-)

Because Jake[spoil] dies? [/spoil]That's another connection with Titanic: the guy with a name starting with J [spoil]dies[/spoil]...(well, one's character, other's actor...)
Lol!
I feel sorry for the women. They shouldn't be in such a situation.
Edit: who gave it Fs??? That's insane. Only the worst of the worst deserve Fs. I can't imagine this film being Battleship Earth-bad.

LOL You're horrible!
I shall justify my watching this movie since the main characters will undoubtedly become priests and therefore i'm supporting my religion

Just because someone hates a film about gays doesn't make them a homophobe. Maybe the film really was awful to whoever gave it an F or more generally, disliked it.
