Quote:
The Waterboy is a 1998 American comedy film directed by Frank Coraci. It stars Adam Sandler alongside Henry Winkler, Kathy Bates, Jerry Reed, and Fairuza Balk. Lynn Swann, Lawrence Taylor, Jimmy Johnson, Bill Cowher, Paul Wight, and Rob Schneider have cameos. Sandler produced the movie and co-wrote the script with Tim Herlihy.

The movie was extremely profitable, earning over one hundred and eleven million dollars in the United States alone and made Sandler a successful actor with The Waterboy becoming his second $100 million film in a year, along with The Wedding Singer.

Sandler's character, Bobby Boucher (pronounced "Boo-SHAY"), bears a strong resemblance to his "The Excited Southerner" comedic skits from his album "What the Hell Happened to Me?" The portrayal is one of a stereotypical Cajun from the bayous of South Louisiana, not the typical stereotype of a Southerner. He also shares similarities in speech and mannerism to Canteen Boy, a recurring character, also portrayed by Adam Sandler, on Saturday Night Live. Like Bobby, Canteen Boy preferred "purified water, right out of the old canteen", which he always carried with him.

Hilarious, though I kinda like The Longest Yard better now. B+

I might not have been in the mood, but I found it disappointing. That bed sheet was gross.

Hes awesome in this movie, and I like the Fonz's character too. I'd say its under Happy Gilmore, a tiny notch above The Longest Yard which was still great.

This is my new favorite comedy of all-time now and I don't know why. It's characters are just so funny, and the lines are memorable.

"Joe Montana was a quarterback, you idiot!"
"You can do it!"
"Little girls are the DEVIL!"
"Now, now that's some high quality H20!"
"I am Bobby Boucher."
"My momma says, my momma, my momma says"
"The medula oblangata is the reason crocodiles are naturally aggressive."
"Crocodiles are awnry because they got all them teeth, and no toothbrush!"
"Asdgfdsfh adfgdfgdgfh, sdgsdg!"
"Heh heh heh. You made a joke, didn't you?" (Cross-eyed guy)
"Gatorade is better than water!"

Grade: A

This is your usual mildly amusing Adam Sandler flick which has tons of jokes of which only a couple here and there work. The only time I laughed out loud was when that one black guy kicked away the Ku-Klux Klan head

It is still miles better than Big Daddy, but not as good as Anger Management, Little Nicky or 50 First Dates.

I love this movie! It's a guilty pleasure and I always watch it whenever it pops up on cable. Any movie that has Adam Sandler, Henry Winkler, Kathy Bates, and Jerry Reed together should be a classic, huh? Seriously, it's one of those movies I can watch over and over again and never get tired of it. I grade it an A!

Just another retarded Sandler comedy. Though it does make me laugh.
