I can't wait to see all the false drama stories ESPN imagineers about Terrell Owens and Randy Moss
(they've already started, inferring that Tom Brady and Randy Moss' relationship is not good at all, based on one still photograph of Moss looking at Brady with his helmet on. It's pathetic)

Bleh, enjoy your last year of fame. This might be Belichik's last year with the Pats. He wants to lead another team to a superbowl win.
And yes, this may all just be a fantasy.

It won't matter if Belichick leaves... They still have Tom Brady... and that's all anyone needs.

 Re: 2007 NFL Discussion
Unless both teams suffer massive injuries, I don't see how either team doesn't make the Super Bowl. There's no one in the NFC that I think even comes close to matching the Saints in talent. And the only team in the AFC that has a chance against the Patriots are the Chargers, but what have they done in the offseason to improve themselves?
Hopefully both teams are able to make it, because that would make for a great Super Bowl.

 Re: 2007 NFL Discussion
Don't I recall the Bears obliterating the Saints in the playoffs last year?
Now picking them to make it to the Superbowl I don't have a problem with, but not even giving any of the other NFC teams a chance?
On the other side, it's the AFC. Lots of strong teams. While I think the Patriots will make it back to the super bowl, again, basically not giving any other team a chance in a very strong conference seems a little much.
And this is with both teams remaining healthy throughout the season.

And this is with both teams remaining healthy throughout the season. The only reason the Bears won was because it was in Chicago. And being that it was cold, caused the Saints to have a lot of turnovers. The Saints should easily have the best NFC record this year, giving them home field advantage. And the only reason the Patriots didn't make it to the Super Bowl, which they would've won... was because they played tough defensive games, and their defense is old. Having Adalius Thomas there helps out TREMENDOUSLY, and even if their defense gives out again... they have TONS of offense this year.

So you're saying the Saints are soft? Why does that make them unstoppable?

So you're saying the Saints are soft? Why does that make them unstoppable? Soft?!? When you play in a dome... and you go outside into freezing weather you're not used to... turnovers are almost guaranteed... no matter how "hard" you are.

How are they supposed to get the best record in the NFC when they can't play in bad weather?

By playing in places with good weather... and getting home field during the playoffs... and the Super Bowl is in Az... the hottest damn place in the world.

I didn't say they CAN'T play in bad weather. I just said that it causes turnovers. They were just a young team that couldn't push past all the mistakes. But now they are more experienced.

 Re: 2007 NFL Discussion
To jump right in the middle of the conversation, the Saints lost the NFC Championship for two reasons. One, the Bears were the better team. That was obvious. The second reason though - and the reason why I think the Saints will beat the Bears this time around - was that the Bears were more experienced in the playoffs. The Saints handeled themselves very poorly in that game, and the Bears capitalized. This time around though, the Saints are more experienced, they will probably win a couple of more regular season games and have home field advantage and they should beat the Bears.
I didn't realize in my original post though that the Bears still had Lance Briggs. With him, they are a much better team, and will probably go to the NFC Championship once again. However, outside of the Bears and the Saints, there is no one even close to being as good as them in the NFC.
As for the AFC, you've got the Colts, the Ravens, the Chargers and the Patriots. Which team improved the most on both sides of the football? The end.
