I've always liked watching Vick play on the field, but I think his playing days are numbered because of this. Or they might as well be after the amount of hatred he is going to get, not just from the fans but from his former sponsors dropping out left and right. Then again, the league might have to do anything if he is convicted. I think it's highly unlikely he'll spend the full six years in jail because of his status, but I hope I'm wrong.

And on top of that, he has to deal with the NFL's punishment - as they will face a tremendous amount of scrutiny if they do not. I suspect he'll most likely get the Pacman Jones treatment.

I never really cared about Vick anyhow, and I won't miss him. Besides it'll be fun watching Joey Harrington throw massive quantities of interceptions in Atlanta now.

Joey Harrington is probably the best choice for Atlanta. He's experienced. He has Joe Horn to be like... his guide. And they can FINALLY utilize their running game instead of freaking out everytime they snapped the ball and worried that Vick might try and run it... again.

Why would they be worried about that when it was the only time he was good?

He had a CANNON arm. His receivers sucked.

I had a good feeling about this year though. And he crushed it. But I still believe Joey is their best option.

He had no accuracy. Not all his receivers fault. And don't get me started on his deep ball. It looks like he just lobs it up and hopes someone will catch it, instead of throwing it deep.

I watched every Joey Harrington game in Detroit and even a few with Miami... he is at best a mediocre QB, but even that is being kind. He has a career passer rating of under 70, and has thrown more INTs than TDs.

You could argue that he has been on bad teams, but QBs before and after him have done better. Jon Kitna is hardly the greatest QB, but put his stats up agains Joey's with essentially the same team and he looks like a god. In 2006, Kitna had over 4000 yards and 20 touchdowns... Joey never came close to that... and again, Kitna is hardly a great QB.

Harrington will be a career backup QB and fade into oblivion. I doubt he'll even last all year in Atlanta, even without Vick. His main problems is his head... he self implodes way too easily and when he starts going downhill it is like watching a person in quicksand.

as a person who got to watch joey "grow" in detroit even saw a few games in person. Dude is a fuckin disaster. He may have experience but that doesn't mean he's any good. Dude sucks.

Atlanta is such a mess right now (RB and QB are out), they should easily have the #1 pick... I don't even think that Detroit can out-suck them this year!

Last year was finally the breaking point for me. I've been a faithful Lions fan since the Billy Sims days when I was in Elementary School, but I just can't bare to watch them anymore... it's not worth wasting my Sunday afternoons to watch them find new ways to lose every game. I'm tired of the "almost" pulled out a victory games, or the promises every year. How Matt Millen is still employed is beyond me... the Lions are the biggest joke in pro sports under his rule.

I might watch their first couple losses this year, but I doubt I'll waste my time past that. Until they can show me they can win again, I'm not going to bother.

Millen is a moron. How he can still be employed shocks me. I feel sorry for Lion fans. The Falcolns could really blow up this year. Not sure they will be the worse team though. I think the Raiders will still be worse. They have nobody on that roster and probably will win 2 games.

I think part of the problem is that Detroit has too many devoted fans . Have the stadium half-empty with continual blackouts and the owner might actually car what the fans think.
