Aww, Bobcats passed on Noah.
I've been hearing bust rumors around Wright, though obviously it's too early to tell. Either way MJ is horrible at drafting, so I'm not sure about this one. Once past the comedy factor, I think Noah is going to embarass some of these higher picks, I have a good feeling about him.

Off to Chicago. But considering the history...should be Knick soon?

Bulls are the only team I don't love Noah on
If he plays with Wallace... it's 3 on 5 offensively? I don't know what they're going for here.

• The New York Knicks just traded Channing Frye and Steve Francis to the Portland Trail Blazers for Zach Randolph, Dan Dickau and Fred Jones.
I...am not sure about this trade. We get rid of Francis, and Frye did just have lousy season (I still like him, and would like him to stay), but Randolph? 20 & 10 player, but not much of a defense, eh? Plus, double the lenght of contract Francis has...

Btw, I'm hoping for Tiago Splitter at #23.

I pretty much think the Knicks ripped them off, unless Frye regains some confidence.

Seems to me like the Blazers just wanted to dump him. Randolph is a crap character player and to quote someone on a different board, is a "black hole when he gets the ball". Most Portland boarders I've encountered have disliked him and wanted him gone. No need for someone like that with Oden, Roy, Alderidge. Dunno why they took Francis though, could've milked someone better.

Holy shit, Jordan wanted Jason Richardson, so he gave up Brandan Wright for him.
So now not only did the Warriors get a potential all-star and help out their front court tremendously but we also have cap room to sign the player that opted out his deal with Bobcats, which is Gerald Wallace.
I love JRich, but man, this is freakin awsome. Thank you MJ

How can the best players ever(MJ, Gretzky), be so bad at management careers? Gerald Wallace was probably better than JRich, so this doesn't help the Bobcats get to the playoffs at all. It only gives them a crap contract, loses them a stud, and loses them any oppurtunity to swing Wright as Wolves bait in an Amare deal.

Overall a good trade for the celts, with a healthy Pierce they will be a contender next year.

Well I find the Ray Allen trade incredilby odd if they dont trade Paul Pierce, I thought the whole point of getting Allen was to have a leader and to now be able to move Pierce without having to worry about that role.

The point of the trade was so Peirce would get the veteran he'd been bitching about.

I dunno, after Detroit Cleveland Chicago Toronto Washington NJ and Miami, there's 1 spot, 2 if one of those teams gets fucked in the next year. I think the Knicks and Bucks could probably challenge Boston right now. And Orlando if they get Billups or VC.

Pierce, Allen and Jefferson. The most solid three the Celtics have had in quite some time. Ideal? Not exactly, but to add a seven time all-star onto a team that was on pace to win 40 games last year before Paul went down (The Celtics were one game over .500 with him, so give or take a game) was a decent move, despite the ankle problems. He averaged 26 points last year, before the ankle stuff, but if that is all fixed which it should be, then they are in great shape. How many wins does he add, plus the 37 to 40 the Celtics were on track to get until Pierce went down? With the team they have right now, if everyone stays healthy, they have a shot at the 6th seed. Once again, not ideal, but then again, last year's sixth seeded team made it to the second round.
Ainge needs to add one more player though. He said the same thing last year, but then again his job wasn't in as much jeopardy as it is now. He now has some room to go out on the free agency market now that they've unloaded on Wally's contract. Or he can make another move with Al Jefferson in his back pocket. If he does, then they could give Toronto a run for their money.

I didn't know Richardson was only 26... I don't hate the deal for Charlotte actually

4 years 61 mil for Vince
Kind of dumb for NJ, Kidd-Carter-Jefferson obviously couldn't win in the last couple years, Kidd is just getting older now too.
Boston and NJ shooting themselves in the foot long-term, both in one week. Yay.

What the fuck, we just signed Jason Kapono for 4 years 24 mil. What are ya doing BC! We needed less 3 point shooting and more d, rebounding, athleticism, not the other way around. I'm lost. I'm getting a bad Phoenix Suns vibe where all offense leads to a fun team and good regular seasons, but no playoff success.

Wow.... I thought Raptors would go for Matt Barnes, he'd probably go for the same price (maybe even a bit less). Might not be the shooter Kapono is but is a far superior defender and hustles like nobodies business. Raps really shot themselves in the foot with that signing.
Well thats one less team the W's have to worry about taking Barnes, hopefully they can get him for cheap now.

Been reading Orlando boards, everyone is pissed about Darko going, no-one's talking about Lewis. Real excitement for a 15 mil a year guy.
For a bust, Darko sure has his fans. ... They still believe the hype. Hell, I like him too.
