I predict 15m viewers for the Sopranos and 5m for Game 2

Gee, Larry Hughes on a bad ankle not being able to stop one of the fastest PGs in the league for the second game straight? No way! I would've never guessed that!

hahaha
This is what happens when one of the best coaches ever has a few days to adapt against the possibly the least creative and most solveable conference champion ever. Mike Brown just went "Oh shit, my pound the ball up the floor hack game isn't working? Noooo!"

This will end up a sweep, even when the series shifts to Cleveland. I just don't think Cleveland is experienced enough to recover from the shellings they've took in both games so far. In two years I could definetly see Cleveland winning a championship, but not now.

Was I watching NBA finals? This is one of the ugliest games I've ever seen, period. Only a "flurry" of points in the final minute helped it to avoid the record, but overall it's just ugly. Take 6 seconds to cross the midcourt, 15 more seconds more second to shoot, pound, miss, rebound, out, pound again, go inside once, double-teamed, pass out and around, shoot an open three, miss...

Can someone tell me how this ended? It was 75-72 at the end of the 3rd quarter and then for some reason the network quit showing the game. Weird.

The way this game played, I wouldn't be surprised that the next game challenges NHL for the lowest prime time rating in major network history.

I highly doubt that. Nothing can top hockey as the one sport that Americans just don't give a shit about.

well Lebron was clearly fouled at the end but who cares, they didn't deserve it. Neither did the Spurs, throw that game out.
That game was painful to watch. I honestly admire all you non Spur/Cavs fans for being able to make it through the whole thing. Bravo
I hope the Cavs don't get swept but the sooner this ends the better.

Damn, if Cavs had Redd instead of Hughes they would probably be a very dominant team ( Redd turned down the Cavs when he was a free agent and Cavs then went for Hughes instead )

Like see, with teams like the Lakers, people would either LOVE or HATE when they won. With the Spurs, people just don't care. That's really hurting the sport.
Hopefully Dallas and PHX both will be able to dominate the Spurs next year so they never make it pass the Conference Semis.
What an awful attitude.
Sadly, many "fans" are sharing your thoughts. Who cares if teams actually play great, they don't score or dunk enough!

The Spurs are like the Patriots...
But people still like the Patriots...
Maybe the Spurs should move to NY or Boston...

Well it was still one of the more exciting games of the playoffs for me because of the tight score and championship implications...
Though yeah, uglayyy. With Detroit going down, I wonder if the East will go through a stretch of terribly weak conference champions. I'll take anything that can get my Raptors there!
I think Lebron is quite a different player than Wade. While Wade would take over by himself, Lebron is very much a playmaker for the other guys. It's just the other guys are terrible at this point. That'll do him better in the future though, I'd say.

^Lebron also has the ability to take over when he tries; thats why he has jordan written all over him and wade doesnt. Wade, Kobe, and several others can take over games on their own in scoring; but noone in the nba today can take over a game today while making his team good. that is why he and his teams will be incredible in 3-4 years when he sharpens his skills.

Duncan is also mr. nice guy, his personality isn't as fun for the media to track apparantley. Spurs are just as fast as other teams, and their play is somewhat fun to watch. The only reason they're seen as boring is because their stars have no huge personalities, they no huge dunker or spectacle. As Nebs kind of got to a few pages back, NBA markets the players now, and Spurs have no marketable players. But for the most part I like watching them more than the Pistons, and as much as the Mavs, and I haven't hated this series. Only problem is it's not competitive.

Wolves trade Mike James to Rockets for Juwan Howard.
Ouch xia, ouch. James is one PG/player you didn't want, speaking from personal experience.
A terrible trade in general actually

Wasn't he the guy Rockets traded away for Rafer Alston? That's kind of interesting. I remember he played very well the first season after the trade, and with the way Rockets struggled to find the third scorer, the transaction looked awful at the time.
Howard is pretty close to useless though. He had some scoring spurts, but he disappears so often and is terrible on defense. I actually like the trade, and I heard they were interested in acquiring Ron Artest too. Heh, we will see how that will work, but they still need a true point guard and a rebounding power forward and someone that's not a 35% shooter. Otherwise, they are still a scary looking team......for the fans not the opposing team and could go cold any time.
