Again, not good for CW. Stupid Americans and their love of crap reality shows.
Does anyone know when Dancing with the Stars starts only being 60 mins on Tuesdays?

Oct. 17, when The Knights of Prosperity premieres.
At least the low numbers for The CW sets the bar lower for Veronica next week?

Hey, don't blame Americans. It's Europe that gave us all these shitty reality program ideas.

Smith won't last much longer with those kind of ratings.
Decent sampling for Help Me Help You.
Nice to see that House continues to do well.

Ouch for CW... But I guess that's positive for Veronica... The repeates on UPN averaged a 0.8, 0.7 ratings in the adults 18-49... It should double that in originals without problem, and considering Gilmore Girls got 2.0 I think Veronica is safe for now... It's not like The CW has something to replace it with...

I've convinced myself that they're planning to let Veronica stick it out this season, and are hoping for a fourth. I may be delusional, but I figure that the reason they didn't have a repeat of VM last night is because they want to air as few repeats as possible, and keep the season average up as high as possible. With cult shows like this, they make their money in places other than the ratings. There's already merchandising going on. Plus, the critical acclaim is important. I figure they want to make it as easy to justify a fourth season as possible.

After leaving Everwood for dead, they need to keep VM around so the critics don't burn them at the stake. And 7th Heaven, GG, and probably Girlfriends and Reba are all leaving this season, and Runaway won't last, so that's already a lot of schedule to fill.

Smith may not make it to 2007.
Not very good for Help Me Help You considering its enormous lead-in.
Again, slightly disappointing for the CW. Hopefully, this is a good sign Veronica Mars won't have so much pressure.

Yikes CW, yikes.
But I agree this is probably a good thing for Veronica, Tree Hill, the shows that on the edge, as most of the other stuff is reeking.

I don't see how this is her fault. Last season, Gilmore Girls was up against almost nothing for the premiere. This season, it has House and Dancing with the Stars. Plus, though CW claims to have 95% coverage, in a lot of places, that's only if you have HDTV. So I'm pretty sure a lot of people are having a hard time actually watching CW. The low ratings were expected, and I'm happy to see them. It would actually be highly amusing to me if all the WB shows have lower premiere ratings than last season, and the UPN shows have the same or higher.

Interesting ratings.
I can't deny the my utter uncontained excitement to see CBS fall even if those particular shows may be awesome. But, you know what... all the CBS dramas held on very well from last week's premieres, even Smith. It only dropped about a million.
Dancing with the Starshas kept up the ratings but Help Me Help You had a pretty lousy retention of viewers from DWTS.
I'm actually a bit diappointed with Boston Legal's number. I guess it's consistent with some of last season's finishing numbers but I hoped it would stay above 10m.

The low ratings for CW shows is quite disappointing, but in a way it bodes well for Veronica Mars because they'll likely want to keep it around longer if other shows are failing, and with this probably being the final seasons for 7th Heaven (Please Ellen let this show end!), Gilmore Girls (:(), etc... they'll need to keep something around.
It's kind of sad that the top CW show right now is America's Next Top Model. At least they have one bigger hit right now though, it's just too bad it's a reality show. We have enough of those and it will only encourage them to make more and ditch original programming in favor of it.
