I don't get how people under such high scrutiny already with accusations flying all over the place would still juice up. Seems so moronic.

You remember those "this is your brain. This is your brain on drugs" commercials? They didn't specify what drugs, did they?

The reason is that most people who juice have a method to cheat the tests. They only get caught when they make a mistake. The dark figure of cheaters in sports in unbelievably high

Unbelievable. The Spanish Police found Tyler Hamilton's Doping Diary in the case against spanish doping doctor Fuentes. According to this diary, Hamilton doped for 114 Days (!) in 2003 with EPO, testosterone, hormones and other stuff. That is sick!

Yes, Ullrich is living in Switzerland and riding with a swiss license so they are responsible for prosecuting him. Don't know about the law yet, but the German Cycling Union has already decided to get DNA profiles for all riders in german teams which will be passed on once the rider changes teams.

Can only deliver a german link for that, but there are reports that the doping substances used by Fuentes and his german aide could be responsible for 13 unresolved deaths in cycling among them Fabrice Salanson who died at the age of 23 in June 2003 before the start of the "Deutschland Tour"

In Gaitlin's case, when a coach is known for paleyrs testing positive while training with him, I think I;d stear clear of him, clearly he's not good at helping them hide the doping...

No. He's big and obviously overweight. Comes with the territory.

Great. Another one allowed to - literally - run from justice. They definitely have to improve their testing...

NEW YORK -- Two of Lance Armstrong's former teammates said they used a performance-enhancing drug when they were getting ready for the 1999 Tour de France, according to a newspaper report.
Frankie Andreu, a 39-year-old former team captain, and another teammate who requested anonymity because he still works in cycling, told The New York Times they used EPO in preparation for the 1999 race, when Armstrong won the first of his seven titles in cycling's biggest race.
"There are two levels of guys," Andreu said in a story published on the newspaper's Web site Monday night. "You got the guys that cheat and guys that are just trying to survive."
Andreu said he took EPO for a few races and is admitting the use now because he's worried doping is having a negative effect on the sport.
Neither of the teammates ever had a positive test for performance-enhancing drugs.

Time to bump this thread back up in light of Merriman getting suspended for 4 games.
Why the hell is Merriman getting a pass? It's baffling. If it were a big name in Baseball (ie: Palmero) and he came up with the same excuse Merriman is saying, no one would believe a single thing he says. (and they didnt, in Palmero's case) But not only does every single person seem to believe Merriman, they're starting to bring up that the NFL system is flawed, after all that bragging about how much better it was than baseball's.
It confuses the hell out of me. I do not know why he is getting a pass.

An unknown person hacked into the computer of a french anti-doping lab and sent mail who should prove that the lab's work is sub-par. The police's prime suspect is a friend of Floyd Landis
