 The Detroit Phenom
I was thinking earlier about Detroit sports... and figured out something...
The Detroit Red Wings were #1 in the NHL and lost to the eventual loser of the Stanley Cup.
The Detroit Pistons were #1 in the NBA and lost to the eventual hopeful loser of the NBA Finals.
And the Detroit Tigers are #1 in the MLB. Now... do they have any chance of winning the World Series? Or will the team that beats them eventually go on to LOSE the World Series?
And how about the Detroit Lions? Will they break they bad groove and be #1 in the NFL??? I know it's almost impossible to even fathom... but you never know.

The team that beats the Tigers will go on to win the world series.

None of those teams were #1. They didn't win the championship. Therefore Detroit is a city of losers and thugs.

You do realize the Pistons/Red Wings/Tigers ALL had/have the best record in their respective leagues... right? Or are you retarded?

Jesus, the Tigers are gonna be #1 in the MLB this year. 3 leagues, NHL, NBA, MLB. That's pretty radical.

The phenomenon isn't that they all are number one, the phenomenon is that after that, none of them win the championship. Which is the only reason why we all know the Lions will end up with the best record in the NFL. Having our hearts ripped out by three teams isn't enough. (And, yes, there's no question, the Tigers will not win the World Series. They'll probably get through the first round, but not the second.)

Now Im really no longer worried about the Tigers. Cause the White Sox are so far out, that I am using all my concentration on the Wild Card contendors.
