Decent but scrappy game. I don't think either team has found its rythm yet, but they're playing well as single players. Italy has the edge definately, and Barthez is very shaky.

One of the teams is going to find its beat soon and this game is going to blow open. 3-2 in OT is the feeling I'm getting. Or 3 to 1 regular time if a team settles in very quickly into the second half.

Some very impressive individuals. The surprise is Thurman, who is doing very well. I haven't seen much from Ribery, who I thought I'd see more from at this point.

Good game so far.

Good game thus far. France's lack of expertise in defending set pieces is very evident though.

France has the momentum on their side now, that should've been a penalty, big f up by the official.

Besides the fact that the ref is a bit pro-Italia the French have a big problem: Their midfield doesn't participate in the offense. They had great opportunities yet there have been always 7 italians against 2 frenchman.

This is ridiculous not even Henry waits in the middle. They desperately need a second striker.

Yeah, they need to press up. I'm seeing slow possession build on their part and still only two or three people anywhere in the box. Makes no sense. Most of the players I see pushing up are from the defense, even. Where's the midfield.

Good game on both sides. France has alot of possession, but Italy is making more of their few chances on net and have the better goalie.

Zzzzzzz...the game is progressively more boring.

So many overtimes in this WC.

Ah, well, Italy will probably score in the last minute, hehe. An offside goal ignored by the ref. :P

Matarazzi must have said he'll rape his children or something like said, otherwise it is totally inexplicable

I'm really interested to know what that guy said or did to Zidane. It's such a shocking thing to have done!

In all seriousness, he probably taunted and dared zidane to headbut him and zidane in a moment of childness did.
