Game 1 is the one we should've had, IMO. If we hadn't let that lead slip away, it could be 3-2 for us right now easily.

Great 1st period by the Oilers, they clearly outplayed them. It's a shame no goals were scored, because they deserved one. Even the powerplays were orchastrated wonderfully, for a change .
Eric Cole being back in the lineup is so wrong. I don't want to see him to go down like this, if he reinjures himself his career could be over. Hopefully he stays safe though.
By the way, Stephen Harper in the audience was just about the most lol thing I've seen all day. He wasn't in the skybox, or even in a good seat. He was up in the regular rafters with all the other rugged uber-fans, just standing there. His suit and glasses clothing and posture stand out like a sore thumb, heh.

1 more period of the so far dominant play from the Oilers, and it's off to Game 7 with all the momentum.
Destiny!

IT'S ON LIKE DONKEY KONG!
I'll be going out to watch the game. Nothing like experiencing Game 7 of the Stanley Cup Finals in a bar in the city of the winning team.
I might even check out Whyte Ave. after. It'll be nuts, but I might. I just don't want to get stabbed.

Carolina is all guns and legs so far, like Edmonton in Game 3 against San Jose. Only being down 1-0 is probably fortunate, as it could've been a lot worse. That last play was crazy, but correct IMO. There was a delayed penalty, so as soon as Maarkenen stopped it the whistle should of gone, thus making Staios' crease cover and the possible penalty shot or goal meaningless.
I still think we're gonna take this.

Yeah I know, the Oilers seem to have a habit of doing this sort of thing, one game their flying, the next they can't seem to get motivated,or get it together. I'm still hoping but I think Carolina has this game in the bag.

Urggh, well that's it.
A terrible play by the Edmonton defenceman. He was trying to be all fancy and do something, when you just have to GET IT IN THERE when you are down by one with only seconds left.
They were so close, just like Calgary last season!
PEACE, Mike

Oh well, maybe next year, lol. I hope the Oilers address one of their blaring problems, inconsistiency. As this series proved and other games this team seems to go from high to low in a blink. They barely made the playoffs- had to rely on other teams to lose to get in, and while they had a great run, look what happens when they hit a more tight team. If they can get consistent I think they can go all the way again.
