Nope. The Fast and the Furious was on there a few weeks ago. It's meaningless until the week of release.

88-110 5 day range would put it anywhere from 190-240 range which is what I was saying it will gross below WOTW. WOTW made 104 in 5 days so its a good multiplier comparison since SR numbers will be cut sharply by Pirates in its second week

Alright, back from college orientation.

So it seems right now SR is doing pretty well in terms of tracking. No. 1 at yahoo and moviefone, 88m 5-day by ReelSource. Its nothing amazing, but its not in the area where it is going to make less than 200m.

Now, I do admit it is not in the area where a 110m+ 5-day is looking like it will happend, but there's 2 weeks to go so we'll see. If it was coming out tommorow, I would say a 95m 5-day at this point. But things can change(for better or worse) in 2 weeks

That would mean you lose our beat, you do realize?

Honestly, I don't think the tracking means *that* much. Harry Potter was tracking at 88 million, when it was clear the entire time that it would pass that mark. That number was actually higher than I was expecting, to tell the truth.

14 days, 1 hour, 13 minutes.

At BOM, my new $102 million 5-day prediction was called "ludicrous." (Too low) :hahaha:

Anyway, I still think it can go over $100 million for five days, but I wouldn't be surprised if it's lower. Heck, I wouldn't even be disappointed with $85 million. At least it will shut superman128 (for those of you who don't know, he's the living, breathing definition of "over-obsessed fanboy" who posts about the magnificence of Superman over at BOM) up for a while, which would be really nice. ;)

Boston Herald, Hollywood Reporter, and Hollywood Elsewhere(Jeffrey Wells). Seeing how they're all glowing, it looks like Singer delivered.

Hmm...

I've heard the general response was, "It's pretty good." Even AICN didn't say everyone loved it.

One worrisome point made by Wells and partly by Singer himself, is that is seems like the emotional "chick-flick" Lois storyline is the main portion of the film, while Lex's scheme is actually secondary. Wells said that villian of the movie was "blah blah", and that Singer was really much more focused on the romance. Plus Lex has been singled out in a couple responses as a weak villian with a stupid scheme, so it looks like the movie will really depend on the emotional storyline, which might not be a big sell for audiences at all.

Villianious action plot > Lois emotion for 2 hours. I'm sure most people will agree with that.

standee sucks. thank god its not at actual theaters. and yes the new tv spot was sweet. but you guys rechanging your predicts everyday is retarded. tracking rarely accurate for big blockbusters like this because theres so much hype that it creates tons of room to underpreform, and vice versa. if i had to judge, i wouldnt change a predict around tracking EVER unless it waslike poseidon i where iwas thinking itd open to 50 when it had 21 million, and i had to bring it down.

once the tv ad campaign fully kicks well have a great idea about it will do. they need to take tv spots 3,4 n now 8 and just ir them non stop on all channels. they all have the right tone and amount of action/humor that make this movie look mass appealing.

WOW, read some of the reviews on RottenTomatoes.....this could be a very very good superhero movie....lighter than Batman Begins but still focused on the story first and foremost...

Warners might have another quality blockbuster on their hands.

Isn't it great to see some of the greatest comics done properly again, Spiderman, X-Men, Batman and now Superman....woohooo...

Tuesday - $10m
Wednesday - $22m
Thursday - $14m
Friday - $23m
Saturday - $26m
Sunday - $21m

= $70m 3-Day // $116m 6-Day // $240m

 It's going to be close between this and X3....and should beat Batman Begins because this has more hype around it and seems fresher (been more than 15 years hasn't it)...

Quote:
An anonymous source sent in a detailed description of the new Superman Returns trailer, scheduled to hit theaters with Sony's "Click" on June 23rd:

Nephew works on Movie Broadcasting Board and he gave me a sneek peek at the new Superman trailer! It comes out with "Click" on the 22nd, and is 2 minutes and 26 seconds long. Not much plot, just a big blur of action, music, and cool lines!

Starts off with Lois Lane doing a voiceover "Lets start with the big question. Where did you go?" as we fade into Metropolis at night, looking down. Then there is a black screen with the words "After a long Absence". Then Superman voiceovers "That place was a graveyard. I am all that is left" as we pan over corn slowly to reveal the Kent House as the sun rises in the backround. Black screen again, it says "Our Geatest hero". Now we see a crowd, staring up. A little boy looks up into a sunny cloud and points. He yells "Look!Up inthe sky!". The black screen appears, and says "returns". Clark Kent runs down a street. Superman, in space, hovers. Lois Lane says "It's a bird." Clark Kent turns down an alley. Superman's eyes dart open. An unidentified voice says "It's a plane". Clark Kent tears his shirt to reveal an "s". Superman bolts down from the sky and into the atmosphere. Superman blows by a a man on the street, wind causing papers to fly. Superman jumps out of a window.Superman lands gracefully, chest puffed out, bulletd bouncing in all directons as they reflect off. A huge crowd infront of a tv store cheers. Superman dives downwards towards the street in a huge arc. Superman flys, back to the ground, looking up at the camera. Superman flys away as the music slows. We see a shot of Superman flying towards us at night time, eyes welling up as dramatic, subtle piano music plays. "It's not easy for me to live my life. Keeping secrets from the ones I love". is said as he we see him fly up. Lois Lane looks at us and says "I've moved on. So have the rest of us".. A shot Lois hugging her boyfriend. Clark peers out over a fence at the Kent house, staring into the sunset. "The world doesn't need a saviour. and Neither do I" Lois Lane says, looking at us. Pan up the Daily Planet building at night as Ma Kent says "A lot has changed since you've been gone. Now even you can stop the world from spinning". Quick shot Lex Luthor in a hallway. "Why don't you go after Lex Luthor" Jimmy Olsen asks. "Luthors old news" is the reply. A door opens to reveal his face. "I don't think so" Lex utters. We then see Lois and a child holding eachother, Lois looks up as Lex says "I have advanced alien technology". We see a huge rock island, Sperman standing in the middle. "See anything familar?" Lex yells from above. Superman walks up to lex and stares him down. Lex slowly takes a piece of glowing green rock. Lois Lane looks past us and says "Kryptonite. It's deadly to him". Superman's face looks afraid. Then the music stops, and we get a black frame. Cut to a street-it cracks. Inside the daly Planet, lights explode. Perry White peers up. Black screen. Superman peers down at us. "You said the world doesnt need a saviour". Superman fly's past a plane. Lois looks out the window. "But everyday I hear people crying for one". The music kicks back in as Superman fly's down a destroyed street. A crowd cheers. Superman is falling hard in the sky, his eyes closed. Superman and Lois hovering up in the air. A seaplane hovering over the water. A missile shoots out. A boat breaks in half. Superman flys in a tunnel filled with fire. Superman flys up in the air. Superman pushes a rock. An airplane plummets.Luhor yells "So Long". Superman grabs onto the wing and it breaks off. Lex yells "Superman". A bullet hits off his eye. The wing hit's the screen. The huge "s" logo appears, light shining through it. Clark, his mother, and an old man stand in a room. The man says "So I hear you flew in last night". Clark smiles. He says "Something like that". Followed by LOOK UP IN THE SKY JUNE 28TH".

It sounds long, but a lot of it is just quick 1-2 second cuts. It's pretty incredible.

Well if your referring to Hype in Australia, thjat's fine but not here in the U.S.. If there is Hype for this in the U.S, It's the quiestest marketing machine I've ever seen cause outside the internet, no one knows this is coming out..
