Great finish to the Washington-Cleveland game!
I thought Cleveland choked badly at the end of regulation (they look like they were playing not to lose, instead of playing to close it out), but James definitely redeemed himself at the end there. And, yeah... as revolutions said, that was some piss poor defense by both clubs. Detroit has to be licking its chops at the prospect of facing either of these 1 man teams that play very little defense!
I still think Washington can pull this series out, even though I'm rooting for Cleveland as I think they are the weaker of the two.
Oh, and Detroit spanked the Bucks in a big way today!!! Detroit in 5, just like I predicted. It was good to see Rip Hamilton back to his old self.

Barkley is right, Washington is really an awful defensive team. WOW, way too easy. Arenas & Jamison might be good players but they have a big fault and it's their defense, they just arent very good in that department.

Any time you watch a Heat game, time how long it takes until the announcers mention how the Heat are playing hurt. For two straight years during the playoffs and regular season I hear this whenever I watch a Heat game. I'm so sick of hearing about it or excuses on why they miss every shot or lose the occasional game - especially when they look perfectly fine to me.
However, if the team is constantly hurt for two straight years, maybe that should tell them something... they are old and weak. I swear Dwayne Wade gets hurt more than my 94 year old Grandmother. It's like they have their excuse all ready when they get bounced from the playoffs (just like last year). I just wish they'd quit making excuses and play the damn games!

Wow, Tim Thomas gave Suns second life with that three. Other then the first shot of OT I dont think Suns missed a shot, where the hell is the defense in these games?
My gawd though, how about Kobe Bryant? He's f'in scary. What Lakers did wrong in OT other then letting Suns get nice shots is not give the ball to Kobe to shoot every single shot. The guy couldnt miss, 3 crazy ass shots just in OT alone. Well now it looks as though Lakers BLEW IT!!! Phoenix got this series.

This just in...
Lakers suck!
Well, I'm glad that at least one series will be going to game 7. I was losing hope after NJ and Mia won earlier. And, I agree Kill... this was just like the Wash-Cle game with absolutely no defense. And Bryant can certainly hit those important shots. Half of his shots when they are leaving his hand I'm thinking "what a terrible shot", and then it goes 'swooshhh', and all you can say is "wow!". I still hate him, though...
Anyhow, Phoenix pretty much needs to be leading the game by 40 points with 20 seconds left before you can say they locked the game up... they are just so horrible at the end. They look rattled on offense with the lead in a close game, and they look completely lost on defense. It's a weird sight.

When's the last team that came back from a 3-1 deficit to win a playoff series?

Congrats to Cavs.
First Cavs inbound it but then throw it way too high and it goes out of bounds so they have to foul since theres only 12secs left. Arenas gets fouled and misses BOTH free throws so it's still only a 1pt game and then Jones hits the game winning shot. Arenas wont be able to sleep for a month.

The Cavaliers won two road games in a playoff series for the first time in franchise history and won a playoff series for the first time since 1993, when James was 8 years old. They will have little time to celebrate. They open the second round at Detroit on Sunday.

That's great for the Cavs, but they were jumping around and rolling on the ground like they just won the Championship! What a stark contrast to the Pistons winning in the first round... hardly even a smile, and their comments were mainly "We've accomplished nothing yet". Just shows the difference in the mindset between the teams!
I think the Pistons will handle the Cavs just like they did the Bucks. A 4-1 victory is in order. One team is just happy to be there, the other won't be happy until they reach 12 more victories.
Kind of a boring first round - the team with the better record has won every playoff series. The Lakers and Suns are giving us the only truly exciting series.

Spurs won the last game in the series how they were suppose to, not even close. Thats the way they need to go to the next round.
I think Cavs vs Pistons will be a good series. Pistons will finally be challenged, havnt had that in quite awhile. I do think Cavs will take the first game because of that, but then it should be all Pistons from there, maybe Cavs can pull out 2 wins.

Piss in 4 over Cavs
Heat in 7 over Nets
Mavs in 6 over Spurs
Suns in 6 over Clips (they will beat Lakers tonight)

I agree, the Suns will win tonight. At least, I hope they do. I'd love to see the expression on Kobe's face when he loses the series after being up 3-1. Priceless.
Pistons will roll over the Cavs in 5.
Heat will beat the Nets in 7.
Spurs will beat the Mavs in 6.
Suns will beat the Clippers in 6.
I'd like to see a Heat/Suns final, but it's gonna be Pistons/Spurs - I can just see it.

Lakers are finished. Down 25 in the 4th quarter.
I think it'll be the Pistons, Nets, Spurs, and Clippers.
Pistons and Spurs final again.

Wowzer... somebody forgot to tell the Lakers there was a basketball game today. Kobe looked like he quit at halftime, not that it mattered much. I guess this just goes to show that you can't celebrate too early. All that chest pounding by Bryant 3 games ago looks rather silly now.
Also, after watching this series I think far less of Nash. He just doesn't impress me at all and the Suns won despite him tonight...
Anyhow, I was 6-2 in the first round. I was wrong about Denver and Washington winning.
For round two, I'm going with:
Detroit in 5 over Cleveland
Miami in 7 over New Jersey
Dallas in 6 over San Antonio
Clippers in 6 over Phoenix
I think it's looking like a Detroit vs. Dallas Finals.

Hahaha... Cleveland got ripped. Detriot is no Washington.
Cleveland may want to look into playing defense at some point and time.
