So they just let go of the most clutch kicker in the history of the game? The only other kicker out there is Mike Vanderjagtass. Who else is there besides that? They need to stop with this, "We offer you this, if you get more from another team, congratulations and good luck", bullshit.
Who's next?
*cries some more* Adam has been my favorite player since he joined the team, I met him at one of their practices a few years back.
I am trying to have faith in Belicheck, but the lost of my favorite Pats player ever is a huge blow.

We're halfway through the season now... Let's look at the standing!
I bolded every team with a realistic chance of making the playoffs...
AFC East
New England 6-2
N.Y. Jets 4-4
Buffalo 3-5
Miami 2-6
AFC North
Baltimore 6-2
Cincinnati 4-4
Cleveland 2-6
Pittsburgh 2-6
AFC South
Indianapolis 8-0
Jacksonville 5-3
Houston 2-6
Tennessee 2-6
AFC West
Denver 6-2 San Diego 6-2
Kansas City 5-3
Oakland 2-6
NFC East
N.Y. Giants 6-2 Dallas 4-4 Philadelphia 4-4 Washington 3-5
NFC North
Chicago 7-1
Minnesota 4-4
Green Bay 3-5
Detroit 2-6
NFC South
New Orleans 6-2 Atlanta 5-3 Carolina 4-4
Tampa Bay 2-6
NFC West
Seattle 5-3 St. Louis 4-4
San Francisco 3-5
Arizona 1-7
Now... The NFC sucks... that's why so many teams have a shot at making it, but most of them are gonna have to rely on the Wildcard
I see the NFC as the National League of football...

1 more thing to note...
The Patriots haven't had a single receiver go over 100 yards in a game...
And they still manage to win. Could you imagine how amazing they would be with an amazing receiver?!

As a Patriots fan, I would love to see a Pats/Giants Super Bowl. Boston vs. New York once again.

So... any predictions?
I would love to see Chargers VS Saints. Can you imagine the amount of press this game would get?!. But from the NFC for me is either Dallas or Chicago and AFC Chargers or Baltimore

I have no idea anymore. I was never convinced of Indy going far because of their run defense, but the Chargers and Raven are a suprise. Right now you can break it down like this.
AFC Representitive
New England Patriots
San Diego Chargers
Baltimore Ravens
(Colts won't survive thanks to that run defense)
VS
NFC Representitive
Chicago Bears
New Orleans Saints
Dallas Cowboys
Seattle Seahawks
I have no idea anymore.

Here's how the Lions get in to the Super Bowl:
There is 3 weeks left, and I believe every team has at least one road game left on the schedule. That means the Lions are just 31 plane crashes away from the Super Bowl.
It COULD happen.

I think we can cross Seattle off the list now. I don't care what San Fran's record was coming into the game - if you can't beat them in your own stadium with this being the third to last game, you don't deserve to be playing in the playoffs.

So we're down to the nitty gritty.
I'd still put my money on Pats/Bears.
But I think the CLEAR favorite to win the Super Bowl will be the winner of the Pats/Chargers game.
Hands down, nobody else will have a chance.

What a sad year.
