What a call.

I'm glad I started getting drunk tonight. Had a feeling I was making a good decision when I started.

i love when people tell me i have no faith, and i'm too negative and to never give up hope when cleveland teams are battling for big games. i simply tell them that they won't win and never win clutch, big games and i get yelled at. then of course, like clockwork, the chokejob happens and i just sit back and say i told ya so. people, i've watched cleveland teams all my life, i know for a fact that ALL cleveland team fold like a lawn chair and choke when the season is on the line. i think i've earned the right to be negative and pissed off because cleveland sports has certainly never given me anything to make me feel otherwise.

so Clev isn't really out of it yet.
can they win 1 or 2 games out of the 2 left
and will
Boston / Yanks split or will one win 2.
Think we will be having at least 1 and maybe 2 playoff games.

I hear you. I called a choke in Game 7 of the World Series in 1997 and had all kinds of Cleveland fans (that have only been fans since 1994) getting on my case about it. I've followed this team religiously for 30 years. I've seen it all before, and I also don't roll over when management tells me something, or the easily duped local media tells me something. They choked. End of story. They had the easiest schedule by far, and found a way to blow it. Next year, they probably won't be as good of a team after they lose some players. They let a golden opportunity slip away, because it's doubtful they'll have a championship type pitching staff again, and their offense won't be able to make up the difference.
I sure hope Casey Blake and Ben Broussard are invited back to make up for the players they lose...

Casey Blake is absolutely worthless. whenever he comes up in a big situation i always wonder why they don't just skip his at bat completely because he does nothing but either strike out, pop-up, or hit into a double play.

yeah, even if we get into a 1-game playoff we'll just choke that away too.

Blake and Broussards contracts arent up. Big losses will include Millwood, Wickman, and Howry, We might be able to resign one of them.
It's certainly not over, but if you've been following Cleveland teams long enough, you don't have much to hope for.

Every Cleveland fan saw it in the back of their minds. You don't wanna think that way, and it looked like it wouldn't happen. But last week of the season, and they only win 1 game is a sure fire way to blow an amazing run.

Somebody from the tied Yankees and Red Sox has to lose tomorrow, so in an effort to try to give false hope to Indian fans, if the Tribe wins tomorrow, they are guaranteed to be tied for the wild card.

Ok, I have to admit the white sox put a really sorry team out there tonight. Their biggest threat was Joe Crede....
