Big avatars are getting on my nerves!
I'm sorry but the big avatars are really starting to get on my nerves! I feel like it takes longer for the page to load with them!
also the same thing with the big pictures in the signatures.

I won't lie.
I don't care for the huge avatars or signitures either. I think the smaller ones just look better.
But at the same time I won't force anyone to take them down. Though I am sure if everyone feels the same way they would change them. Who the hell is they?!

Feel free to name the people you think have the big avatars. I've stopped checking cause most people have resorted to something smaller now ... but maybe I havent chanced across it yet ...

The only avatar that is getting on my nerves is Samweis's huge Bush vs. Arabs avatar, which looks like the poster for FvJ. Way too big.

To be honest, I wish my avatar was a tiny bit smaller, but I don't know how to resize pics.

I have never worked with Photoshop in my life, by the way.
Ever.

If your avatar has to make the first frame resize, then your avatar is probably too big.
Until a few days ago, I couldn't read WoKJ at work because of the gigantic Halle Berry icon. Not that I dislike her bouncing bossoms it was just too large and too much of a screengrabber.
Signatures and avatars are great for displaying personality, but if you want to see a site that has gone out of control with avatars and signatures, see Oscarwatch. So much wasted space in a discussion is taken up by enormous avatars, it's silly.

Agreed, andaroo.
Avatars shouldn't extend the frame.
Thus, Zingaling, BacktotheFuture, and Dr. Lecter have avatars that are a bit too big.

Oh, man. I agree. I occasionally browse the Oscarwatch forums (have yet to post there), and while I do like the fan-made 'for your consideration ads,' they seem to feel the need to make them MASSIVE.

Yeah, I see what you mean. I'll probably nix the signature, go for a traditional "words-only" sig, and find a smaller avatar? Mmmmmkaykay?

Those 3's avatars are fine. Though Lecter's is on the disturbing side, the size isn't that bad.

You can never please everyone. If someone has a complaint now (BESIDES the Jen Garner haters, like Snrub, feel free to criticize, go ahead!

Talk about beating the system. Compare my avatar with that of Rusty, Torrino, and anyone else with avatars within the boundaries, and mine JUST fits in, without moving a thing. Damn, I am good.
