I swear.... I have no idea how Indiana won 2 games against the Pistons. The Pistons are so much better when they want to play. Anyhow, 1 more game and it's on to Miami.
I think the Pistons will destroy the Heat... Shaq isn't 100%, and the Pistons match up with them better in nearly every position and have a stronger bench. Even if Shaq was full strength, I doubt they would win.

Detroit over Miami in 5
The next one depends...
Phoenix over San Antonio in 7
San Antonio over Dallas in 6
And mark my words... The Pistons will beat the Heat. They took 2 of 3 during the regular season, and with a questionable Shaq, this will be much easier. Plus the Pistons are much more battle tested.

Detroit vs. Miami -- In 6
San Antonio vs. Phoenix -- In 7
I'd like to see a Miami and Phoenix finals though. Any combination of those four teams would make a great series.

Being a big Piston fan, I'd love to see the Pistons, but I do agree... it is a terrific combination of 4 teams and we are guaranteed to see a great finals.

I think Miami discovered the Pistons aren't the Wizards or the Nets.
They pretty much controlled the entire game and led by 14 at one point. They gave Wade fits, who looked incredibily frustrated and ended making only 7 of 25 shots.
It's just 1 game, but the Heat lost at home with Shaq playing very well (20 points on 9-14 shooting).
I'm starting to regret picking the series going to 5. If the Pistons win on Wed., this thing will be over in 4.

Yeah, after tonight's Heat/Pistons game, I am now absolutely confident that the Pistons will win this series. Yeah, I know it's only one game, but the Pistons "big game" experience showed in the final minutes of Game 1. The Heat just don't have that experience yet. I still think they will squeak out two games, but it doesn't look good for the Heat.

Brooms in both series would be nice to see.
Also, Milwaukee won draft lottery...1st pick, $25m under the cap (atleast I think so), and prolly Redd back. Nice future.

Pistons should have won that one tonight! They were up in the 4th quarter, but ran out of gas.
Oh well, I still think the Heat are in trouble. They barely beat a Piston team that played it's worst ball that I've seen in quite a few games from them. They had nearly 15 turnovers in the first half, shot under 40% for the game, and played poor defense - and still almost won. The Heat is overrated, IMO.

Well, it looks like the Pistons and Heat are going to have the spolights on themselves pretty soon, as the Spurs have gone up 3-0 against the Suns. Unlike the Red Sox last year (Yes, I know, different sport) I don't see the Suns coming back from 3-0 down. The Spurs are just too good to let that happen. It wouldn't surprise me now, if the Spurs just runaway with Game 4.

Well, if Heat wins I'll have a clear favorite in the finals. But still would be better to see Detroit there...and then one of the best final series.

I hope with that win last night, the Suns will at least make this series interesting.

Hopefully the Pistons can actually play 4 quarters of basketball and win one tonight. They blew 4th quarter leads in their last two games, which is very unusual. The last game they completely fell apart mentally and it was just ugly. The officiating was terrible, but they still shouldn't have imploded like that. They went from 5 points up to a 9 point loss in a matter of 8 minutes. I've never seen that from them before in the last two years. They've lost before, but never out of pure stupidity. I can't help but wonder how much the media circus around Larry Brown's certain departure is effecting them. Speaking of which, Larry Brown is a dumbass for not waiting until the season was over to weigh other offers. I lost a lot of respect for him in the last few weeks.
I still have faith the Pistons will win - the Heat is not that good of a team, IMO.

Spurs are in. I was wrong on that one. I'm amazed that Phoenix didn't put up much of a fight. I didn't put enough stock into the "defense wins championships" theory.
I predict that either Miami or Detroit will beat the Spurs (as long as Shaq stays halfway healthy).
This Piston-Heat matchup is pretty good. Both teams are knocking the snot out of each other. I still say Pistons, but the Heat have put up a better fight than I thought they would.

Pistons win 88-82.
So, we have a Pistons/Spurs finals?
Yeah, I know I predicted this, and I know these are the two best teams in the league, and I know it will make for a great Finals, but I wish there was a little variety in there. You know, two teams that the experts didn't pick at the beginning of the year to make it to the Finals? Oh well, it should be a great series though.

If Pistons win this year I would love to see Brown go to the cavs and Houston or Dallas against the Cavs or Heat
