Well, I'm not a big Harry Potter fan at all. In fact I refused to see the first one in theatres.
But I did see it on DVD and saw the next 3 in theatres. They are fine movies, nothing special. I hoped as it proceeded it got would be more interesting for me since I'm 18 now.
The teaser poster is actually pretty good. At first glance I didn't like it, but it's actually not bad.
The teaser trailer, on the other hand, I thought was pretty bad.
They did waste too much time in the begining. I mean, it's not the last one for them to flashback and that only being their faces. That was completely pointless. There was no real money shot. The dragon didn't impress me too much. It was just a bunch of little snippets of the what they have shot.... it didn't even mesh in together or with the music.
I don't know. I was disappointed and having not read the books, I need more to see and like before I start looking forward to this!

I think the teaser trailer was very well-made. A teaser trailer is supposed to tease and that one certainly did its job.
Oh and Raffiki, take my suggestion and read the books. You won't regret it. The fourth is the best, by the way (IMHO)

I have been meaning to read the books for over a year now. But I just don't have the time. I'm finally free this summer before I start UCLA, but I want to catch up on other important reads I've missed in High School. So we'll see.

Multiplier of 2.7. If Azkaban couldn't manage 250 million WITH summer weekdays, no way this can.

Well, during the holidays, these types of movies have great holds. It'll have a very small drop on Thanksgiving weekend.

I expect a lot to depend on the marketing. Azkaban was marketed as a dark film, thus scaring away many parents from taking their smallest kids. If Goblet of Fire is marketed as dark, as the above teaser poster looks like it will be, then I agree with Moviedude's prediction, in fact he is probably being too generous with 243, more like 210. If they wise up and focus on the happier aspects and get back to the cheerful sense of the first 2, then there's always a chance it could do better than we expect.
