There may be more 3 groups going forward in illiberal/authoritarian left (woke), people who actually like the liberal/free speech/individualism friendly type of America, and illiberal right, who of course have a very long history and dominate many places of the world today like Islamic countries. The best thing for the latter's case is the woke existing, it creates an "us or them" dynamic.
