In the last 2 months we are gonna have 2 $600m grossers in Inside Out 2 and Deadpool & Wolverine. Crazy.

I think if this thread was made earlier this year idk if anyone wpuld've thought it was possible for those films... so what are some that you think could hit this mark? Avengers films are kinda a given since the roster will probably be crazy now but idk what else I would say...

I kind of like Moana 2's chances more than anything in 2025 right now. But the latter will probably have two mega breakouts.

Disney Animation not on here yet. Could go either way with Moana and Zootopia. Idk if Frozen 3 will increase that much.

Superman isn't going to do this much unless it's like amazing. If it's at least solid I could see it doing like The Batman.

Frozen 2 adjust to 586m. I don’t see how Moana or Zootopia 2 do better than that

I feel Moana is more beloved than Zootopia

Moana suffers from the Frozen problem that it's a more girl heavy fanbase. Zootopia has a more broad fanbase, imo.

Michael could be the big unexpected breakout next year ... but it is currently opening against Passion 2, another contender. Schedule is a mess. Michael should take Ballerina's spot in early June. Passion should be in February. Superman, F4 and Jurassic World all opening in a 4 week stretch? Madness.

So just to defy the odds and be as random as possible - next year's #1 with $675M will be Spongebob: The Search For Squarepants.

The Passion Resurrection wont be released next year. Highly unlikely anyway.

2015 once looked mighty but doesn't feel as big now.

I also cannot see The Passion 2 being as big. Maybe $115m or so but not $370m+ again. It's mission: impossible.

Only film that will make $600m until the end of next year is clearly Avatar 3. I can see maybe zootopia passing 500m, but that’s it

Now, if that was one movie and it was a spoof made by the Wayans, it might do it.

I'd got Avatar becoming more of mid 400s million franchise now unless it looks amazing.

I don't see why it suffers a huge drop-off from the second unless it gets really bad reviews.

People were predicting gloom and doom for the second and the second outdid expectations.

Avatar 3 should still do $600m I feel... it'll most likely be at least be visually appealing.

If nothing gets to $600m next year then maybe the next film will be Mario Bros 2.

I’d be really surprised if Mario increases from the first. That’d be its ceiling I’d guess. The first was a novelty but it was so, so bad.

Thats for the best. The first benefitted so much from playing all throughout lent and then got a huge late run boost from Easter.

I still think Michael should move to June though. Get them summer weekdays and it'll be easier to split showtimes on the premium screens between Michael and Elio than Thunderbolts which will take all the big screens even if it flops.

The next one is gonna have Yoshi, thinking it'll increase.

And then fill the rest out with lesser known horror and chick flicks. How to Train Your Dragon remake is out as it doesnt fit anywhere in my schedule. Spiderverse 3 could fit anywhere but I don't think it will be ready in time unfortunately.
