Post Re: Emmy nominations 2024
Kind of annoying that Shogun is making season 2 and moved to Drama since it would have led to some crazy possibilities like the Morning Show winning since the Crown had a poor reviewed season. They will probably give Actor and Actress to Shogun too though I think after Goggins great tv run it would be cool if they rewarded him, and Oldman must be a threat too.

This is for the Bear's season 2 but its season 3 not being as well received could open the door for an upset like Hacks which always seemed like the type of show they'd give a Best Comedy Emmy to.

I'm confused about the acting categories. I know The White Lotus season 3 hasn't aired yet, but shouldn't it have gotten all the acting nominations anyway?

Shogun and The Bear obvious winners. Bear should be in drama to make things more interesting.

Post Re: Emmy nominations 2024
Hacks beats the Bear, maybe the latter not actually being a comedy caught up to it along with season 3 having mid reaction hurting its season 2 vote. But they screwed Einbender in Hacks by giving it to Colon-Zayas a year early.

Winners

Best Drama: Shogun
Best Drama Actor: Hiroyuki Sanada, Shogun
Best Drama Actress: Anna Sawai, Shogun
Best Supporting Actor Drama: Billy Crudup, The Morning Show
Best Supporting Actress Drama: Elizabeth Debicki, The Crown

Best Comedy: Hacks
Best Comedy Actor: Jeremy Allen White, The Bear
Best Comedy Actress: Jean Smart, Hacks
Best Supporting Actor Comedy: Ebon Moss-Bachrach, The Bear
Best Supporting Actress: Liza Colon-Zayas, The Bear

Baby Reindeer cleans up in limited with series/actor/supporting actress, Foster in True Detective for actress, and the Lamorne Morris for supporting actor for Fargo

Blue Eye Samurai winning animated nudged me into finally watching it. Great show.

Shogun winning is boring but expected. Slow Horses never really had a chance.
