Re: The Biden era: The Establishment Strikes Back
Looks like the GOP are doubling down on the rhetoric that lost them the midterms. They obviously need DeSantis to take over this party and move on from Majorie and Trump and that failed path, but it does not look like they will and unless they pívot before 2024, they can count on another failed election. Look for Trump to be indicted soon

Frisch officially conceded to Boebert. I wonder if they will still go through with a recount. If so we won't know the result of a recount till December

They are a political party without a useable face right now. They need an actual leader horribly.

DeSantis is clearly that guy, but they are stuck with Trump because a third of their base refuses to support anyone else

Ron is not owning the role yet, something DT had no problem doing.

I think he has to play it cool and under the radar. He’s probably waiting for Trump to go the jail first.

Valadao won. Wonder why its taking so long to call Kiley's race. At least Duarte vs Gray is 95% counted

Re: The Biden era: The Establishment Strikes Back
Republicans win Arizona house elections by 13%, but still lose senate and gubernatorial. Republicans win Pennsylvania house elections by 6%, but still lose senate and gubernatorial Republicans win Nevada house elections by 3%, still lose senate seat Republicans win Georgia house elections by 4%, still don't win Senate seat Republicans win Wisconsin house elections by 15%, still don't win gubernatorial
That is so much split ticket voting

Hmm interesting maybe it's the fact that the Republican nominees sucked ass (and the fact that people don't dig into their minor elections as much to find out that the Republican nominees for those other seats suck ass)

In many ways, Palin is a pioneer for the modern Republican Party, what with her double down and never apologize strategy.

Republicans should be in Jefferson County, Sumter County, Clay County, and other counties Kemp won but Warnock lost ballot harvesting right now. But they probably are not

I don't know why Trump had dinner with Fuentes, apparently Ye brought him uninvited, but I don't think having dinner with Ye, his friend who is clearly going off the deep end and needs help, makes Trump complicit in anti semitism.

Trump says he didn't know who Fuentes is but they probably should've looked into the people Kanye was bringing more and rejected them
Kanye is being taken advantage of by grifters looking for attention like Fuentes and Milo

Re: The Biden era: The Establishment Strikes Back
"Washington CNN — The House on Wednesday approved legislation to avert a rail shutdown following a grave warning from President Joe Biden about the economic danger posed by congressional inaction.
By a 290 to 137 vote, the House passed the tentative rail agreement that will prevent a rail strike. The vote was largely bipartisan, with 79 Republicans joining Democrats in voting for the bill. Eight Democrats voted against the bill.
In a separate vote, the House also voted 221 to 207 to add a provision to the rail agreement that would increase the number of paid sick days from one to seven. The bill was passed largely down party lines, with just three Republicans, including John Katko of New York, and Brian Fitzpatrick of Pennsylvania crossing over to vote with Democrats on that measure."
It appears to me, maybe I'm wrong and am missing something, that there are 137 people in the House that don't put the country first in their voting. A rail strike would devastate an already stressed economy.

Re: The Biden era: The Establishment Strikes Back
Love that the Georgia Lt. Gov (R) said he looked at the two names on the ballot, decided that neither earned his vote, then hit print on a blank ballot. There were probably many Republicans in Georgia who did the same thing, or even stayed home instead.
This voting for any candidate just because of the letter next to their name needs to stop. Don't pinch your nose and vote. Evaluate the candidates, their words, their actions, and decide if they've earned your vote.

Re: The Biden era: The Establishment Strikes Back
Who knows how purple/blue Georgia will get in the future, but there's no reason that in 2022 at least, a good Republican candidate couldn't have won by 7-10% like Kemp
The same loss would likely have happened to Fetterman if Oz hadn't been so unlikable and weighed down by Mastriano

Re: The Biden era: The Establishment Strikes Back
I can't recall a worst candidate in my life. Maybe there were worst ones from way back, but I doubt they had half the problems Walker had. His list of issues even eclipsed Roy Moore (who managed to lose in Alabama), IMO.
But still, he got 48% of the vote. Georgia is competitive now, but 48% is still shockingly high in this case. The GOP is helping defeat itself in the state in recent years with crappy candidates (the previous incumbents were crap too). And Dems have done a lot of work there while nominating strong candidates too. The GOP can take it back I'd say, but it starts with nominating half way decent candidates...

I mean, the GOP still hold every statewide office in GA other than the senate seats, so it's not like it's now a blue state

Re: The Biden era: The Establishment Strikes Back
It really isn’t, but it goes to show how bad the GOP is at putting up candidates for the general election despite being the more popular of the two parties.

North carolina is probably bluer (Obama won it and lost Georgia) than Georgia but has had much less Trumpy bad candidates run lately

Biden gets:
Britney Griener
Putin gets:

Seems like a fair exchange.
