Re: 2022 Box Office Draft Group 2
Every single player has at least one Universal pick. That's not surprising since Universal has such a huge slate. lilmac has the most with six. Every player's most popular studio (apart from two) is Universal, with SolC9 and stuffp having four each, and Shack having three. But, oddly, almost every player also has a pick from United Artists Releasing, with the exception of SolC9. stuffp seems to have the most spread, with at least one pick each for most studios, but notably absent is Disney. Corpse has an interesting lineup in that he has three picks each for Focus and Lionsgate movies, where nobody else has more than one for either. Corpse's draft also feels the most risky with the majority of his picks not being from the major studios, though I guess they're also no guarantee of success. zwackerm's most picked studio is, not surprisingly, Walt Disney with three picks (shared with Warner Bros.) though SolC9 is the player with the most animated movies (Bob's Burgers, Paws of Fury, and Jujutsu Kaisen 0).
zwackerm is the only player to have an A24 film (Everything Everywhere All At Once). Of the two TriStar films, both were consecutively picked by Corpse (I Wanna Dance With Somebody, Woman King). Shack picked three Universal movies in total, and all chosen consecutively in rounds 7-9.
This is all from the updated draft, of course, so I don't believe we can read too much into the picks, but I found it interesting nonetheless as, if nothing else, a way to gauge people's reliance on studio product.

Re: 2022 Box Office Draft Group 2
Quick analysis of my lineup so far...
Winners
The Batman - (369M) about what I expected, but a very solid gross. The Lost City - (96M+) I expected about 60-70M, so nice over-performance here. Jujutsu Kaisen 0: The Movie - (29M) replacement pick for last pick in draft. Nice gross for last pick. The 355 - (14M) Small gross, but still more than I expected. Second to last pick making over 10M is solid.
Meh
Death on the Nile - (45M) Low end of expectations here. I thought it could have done 60-70M. The Unbearable Weight of Massive Talent - (18M) This looked like it had a chance to breakout at one point, so a little disappointed, but not bad for the 10th round.
Losers
Fantastic Beasts: Secrets of Dumbledore - (90M+) I was hoping for close to 150M, and it will probably fall short of 100M. Basically washes out the overperformance of The Lost City.
Upcoming
Jurassic World should be a huge winner. An opening close to DS2 with better summer legs is the expectation here, around 400M.
Bob's Burgers and Paws of Fury (replacement for John Wick, ouch) are looking bad. Maybe 50M between them.
At least they haven't moved, yet.

I really like my picks out of top 3 (Uncharted, Sonic, Scream, Bros, Northman late), etc but Black Adam and DC League of Superpets in Rd 2/3 over Top Gun could sink me

Distant has moved to 2023, so publicenemy#1 and SolC9 will have to choose a replacement.

Re: 2022 Box Office Draft Group 2
My original four picks:
1. Spider-Man into the Spider-Verse 2 - Moves to 2023 and as a part one. 2. Lightyear - Bad opening, followed by two back-to-back 60%+ drops. 3. The Flash - Moves to 2023 and has become one of the most problematic films ever. 4. Turning Red - Doesn't even get released.

Disappointing first overall pick in Thor although not the end on the world. I thought it had breakout potential.

Looks to me like stuffp has this in the bag thanks to Top Gun. Only way things would be interesting for the top spot is if Avatar got delayed.

Yes. The Top Gun: Maverick pickers have won their games (stuffp, Rev). The rest of us are vying for second.

If Shazam doesn't get moved to 2023, stuffp is going to blow me out of the water in total BO He's going to get 550m just from Avatar2 and at least 200m from Shazam2. lol I'll be lucky if Black Adam does 200m

Re: 2022 Box Office Draft Group 2
Shazam moving makes this a little bit closer. Maybe if Avatar 2 only had a 300-350 million type of run SolC9 would have a chance. I'd need a big breakout from Black Adam to be in this.
With that said I'd bet on Avatar 2 being huge

Re: 2022 Box Office Draft Group 2
Yeah. I still think stuffp takes it. Avatar: The Way of Water would need to severely underperform and Black Adam to astonishingly overperform.
In the other group, the Shazam! Fury of the Gods delay just cements Rev's victory even more.
