 Re: May 6-8 Predictions
Outselling GOTG Vol 2, Thor Ragnarok, and Captain Marvel. Curiously absent is Captain America Civil War. Hopefully it can continue to sell well.

 Re: May 6-8 Predictions
The "leaks" are curiously timed. Makes me wonder if tracking is low .. but coming off of No Way Home I don't see how Marvel fans are gonna be waiting on this one. Should be near $200M for this type of event picture.

 Re: May 6-8 Predictions
I will continue to underpredict Marvel movies because I swear at some point people will get tired of the schtick and lose interest…. (pretty sure I’ve been predicting such a thing for 5+ years, with no success yet)

 Re: May 6-8 Predictions
The early critics view: It plays like a Sam Raimi horror movie, weird and very macabre.
Should still do great but definitely could still be divisive if some moviegoers want a light Spiderman type experience. If it plays like a horror movie, will Friday be overly inflated?

 Re: May 6-8 Predictions
Reviews start at 88% with 6.8/10 avg rating.
Should settle in mid to high 70s. A weaker Marvel entry for sure on par with Black Widow, Captain Marvel, etc., according to critics at least

 Re: May 6-8 Predictions
Some of the reviewers, while still endorsing the film, seemed confused as to what they were watching. This must be a bit different than the generally lighthearted fare.

 Re: May 6-8 Predictions
Variety's review is telling:
Benedict Cumberbatch Returns for a Head-Trip Sequel That’s Both Entertaining and Exhausting It's an unhinged ride, a CGI horror jam, a Marvel brainteaser and, at moments, a bit of an ordeal.
I can't see this still have a chance to win the year if its divisive so should pave the way for JW/Thor/BP/Avatar though my bet is on BP.

 Re: May 6-8 Predictions
This looks like it's gonna have a mixed reception and probably poor legs. Can't see it crossing 450m.

 Re: May 6-8 Predictions
presales look crazy strong. 35m+ previews and 200m+ OW unless walk ups are super bad. Legs could be meh but that should not stop it from hitting 450m.

 Re: May 6-8 Predictions
This all depends on your standing point on Wanda. Its gonna be one of the most polarizing MCU films to date

 Re: May 6-8 Predictions
The 20% of Rotten reviews are not deterring presales, but I do wonder what the Audience Score/WOM will end up being.

 Re: May 6-8 Predictions
I'm hearing low $200s based on Friday but as O mentioned, that day may be inflated.
