5 days. Thinking it can match ROS numbers.

Re: Spider-Man: No Way Home opening weekend
I am thinking higher at this point as its PS is closer to endgame than ROS. So 3 days.

Re: Spider-Man: No Way Home opening weekend
I feel like presales have been incredibly front loaded this year. So beating Endgame presales could still only mean a sub 200m OW

4 days - day 4 will be a monster, but I still think 224 is a little high for 3 days

Re: Spider-Man: No Way Home opening weekend
I'll say 3. Previews starting at 3pm will probably make Thursday be crazy high... so technically that'd be 4 but we'll see. Buuuut I could see a scenario where this is insanely presale dependent and 3 day is below 200m.

In the US - less than a week
Worldwide? I think it will need $500M from the US to make it happen since, if it is even close, the Chinese censors will find a reason to not release it. Battle at Lake Changjin will probably hold on.

I think it will become the biggest movie without China. $225m in 6 days.

Barrabás wrote: Watch this film single-handedly lead to a spike in COVID lol That risk is definitely there. AMC Empire has sold 4500+ tickets for previews already and that is higher than ROS final !!!. So big plexes will be packed. Hopefully there are not too many folks moving around with Omicron. That is a recipe for disaster.

Re: Spider-Man: No Way Home opening weekend
I don't know. I think it will do well, but with Delta spiking/peaking, and Omicron emerging, it won't do anywhere near what it could. For anyone who is old or has a weakened immune system, or is worried about infecting someone in those groups, going to the theater is a stupid risk just to see a movie.

Re: Spider-Man: No Way Home opening weekend
Omicron is mild. The vaccine works really great against Delta. No reason not to go to the theater.

Re: Spider-Man: No Way Home opening weekend
PS has been phenomenal everywhere globally. but its going to be frontloaded for sure. I am thinking 190-220m range for now. Let us see where things are next week.

Premiere begins in LA about now right?
Should have social media reactions, if no critic reviews quite yet, in the morning.

I think this will be mixed for sure. We will see reviews like stuffed etc coming up. But should do better than eternals for sure.

Re: Spider-Man: No Way Home opening weekend
I don't know if I want spoiled on Tobey and Andrew or not, assuming the reviews mentioned them...assuming they're in the film. I think I'll ignore all the reviews. But I imagine it'll be impossible to avoid on social media soon.
I'm assuming they are, but I'm also having some doubts because I would have thought they'd be apart of the final week of marketing and media attention and everything else to build hype further.
Not gonna lie. If they're not in the film after all the speculation and leaks, I'm going to be much less interested in watching it in its early days in release.

HUGE SPOILERS Tobey and Andrew are confirmed by The Daily Beast in their review. After reading I immediately bought tickets.
