 The Hunt (2020)
Quote: The Hunt is an upcoming American thriller film[a] directed by Craig Zobel and co-written by Damon Lindelof, based on the 1924 short story "The Most Dangerous Game" by Richard Connell. The film stars Betty Gilpin, Ike Barinholtz, Emma Roberts and Hilary Swank. Jason Blum serves as a producer under his Blumhouse Productions banner.[3] Both Zobel and Lindelof have said that the film serves as a satire on the profound political divide between the American left and right.[4]
The film was originally scheduled for release on September 27, 2019. However, following the Dayton and El Paso mass shootings in early August 2019, Universal Pictures decided to shelve the release of the film.[3] The decision came a day after criticism regarding the film came from United States President Donald Trump.[5]
The Hunt has since been rescheduled for a theatrical release in the United States on March 13, 2020, by Universal Pictures

 Re: The Hunt (2020)
It's definitely random, but between me seeing this and Bloodshot today I thought this was easily the better film. It moves at a great pace and Betty Gilpin kicks a lot of ass in it. Hilary Swank was pretty fun here too as the villain and I liked the fact that they weren't afraid of getting nasty with the gore when they needed too. The dark humor/political satire worked mostly worked for me too even though a lot of the jokes are on the nose and not subtle at all.

The script for this movie is absolutely terrible. That being said, Betty Gilpin completely elevates it every time her character is on screen. What a badass and awesome performance. The action sequences are well done and the final fight between Gilpin and Hilary Swank is epic.

Yeah, this is a lot of fun.
The lead actress is great, Swank is a hot villain, action and suspense are well done, there is plenty of gore and black humor, and the story twists constantly. Just a really good time.

I saw this in March when it was released and still remember Betty Gilpin being badass, Swank was great, plot and screenplay had potential and one laugh out loud moment. "What is this Avatar shit?"

 Re: The Hunt (2020)
I LOVED the Scream like fakeout with the lead character and Emma Roberts dying the first few minutes took me by suprise, then they did the same damn thing for the first 20 minutes of the film and I was shook

 Re: The Hunt (2020)
I just caught this on TV the other day and I was quite entertained, I've recently been down to seeing about just a film a month, so maybe my thirst for a film made me like this more, but still I was simply entertained. I feel it hits gore and satire in the right way and it's a good cast, Betty Gilpin is a great lead.
