 Mulan tracking for $80-90M OW
Mulan is now tracking for $80-90M OW as per Deadline, Variety, and The Hollywood Reporter. This is much better than the $46M that Box Office Pro predicted (they predicted it to do only marginally better than Dumbo).
What are your updates predictions?
Mine: $85M OW $270M DOM $630M WW

Re: Mulan tracking for $80-90M OW
When it was announced I figured something around $90 mil for the OW, and huge WW.
Now? $80 mil or so sounds about right, but I have no clue WW, or the legs domestic.

BOP tracking doesn't mean shit most of the time.
If Corona doesn't get to really high extremes than a 80m+ opening would be fantastic and legs will probably be good. I'm amused at how many people were underestimating this on BOT.

I think I've really underestimated the popularity of this. Kinda felt the BOP projection was reasonable.

They were pretty close tho with TS4 (they said $113M; actual was $120.9M) as well as Aladdin (they said $80M, actual was $91.5M)

That would be great opening and the legs will obviously be great for this. I'm thinking $75m OW but the market is open for a big blockbuster.

Its getting postponed for sure as this is a movie that has great potential in OS markets as well.
PS wise this has had a great OD PS and then slowed to a crawl. But that is not a surprise. Real action will be close to release.

Mulan could’ve done $200M+ in China if not for the coronavirus. But at least domestic gross is looking fine for now.

Re: Mulan tracking for $80-90M OW
I'm still pretty confident in this opening in the $80-$90M range honestly which would be a huge win for it at this point considering all of the COVID stuff happening right now. The biggest blow will definitely come from OS though, because you could tell that Disney was relying heavily on all of the Asian markets, especially China. As long as it crosses $200M domestic and $600-$700M WW I don't think that would be too bad of a result, but obviously it could have done a lot more.
