ATLANTA (AP) -- Lance Armstrong is set to make an announcement Monday that is expected to settle questions on whether he will retire from cycling after this summer's Tour de France, where he will try for a seventh straight title.

Uh Goldie, you made a slight grammar error in the thread title. It must read: The biggest asshole in sports ever

I don't care if he retires or not. It's better for him when he does since doping controls are being improved by the minute

But isn't the drug problem related to his cancer treatment?

I'm not that into the details, but I think he is allowed to take a lot of medicaments for post-cancer treatment that probably would mean trouble for other athletes. But I don't think that this is all, I'm thinking more about growth hormones, steroids, blood doping etc. Armstrong always claims the accusations are by people who are envious or want revenge, but at some time comes the point where there are too many accusations. And I think Armstrong is long overdue. But he is lucky enough to live in a land that gives a shit about fair sports and is ine of the leading doping countries of the world. It's sad that especially the US treats doping like a misdemanor. (just look at the MLB rules for steroid abuse. If you test postive four (!!!!!!!) times you get suspended for a year??? If that was the case in athletics Ben Johnson would still be running)
