 Re: Ash vs. Evil Dead
The episode aired Friday night after they aired the Evil Dead movies. I was under the impression it was starting Saturday night but my co-worker informed me on Friday that it was starting that night. So I checked when I went home and sure enough it was. So I recorded it. Then after there was a message from Bruce for fans to tune in again on Saturday night for the encore and watch it again. In the future it will be Saturday nights though I believe?
Anyway, I thought it was pretty good. Not sure how future episodes will be since Raimi only did the premiere.

 Re: Ash vs. Evil Dead
I wondered why my cable provider listed the Saturday airing as a repeat.
And, yes, Saturday is its regular night.

They must have done that last minute because the premiere was always listed as being Saturday night. It must have been a surprise kind of airing for fans who were watching the marathon.

 Re: Ash vs. Evil Dead
I have no idea how to judge the number given all the circumstances, even though I was planning to write a short article about it. Help?

 Re: Ash vs. Evil Dead
Significantly less viewers than the first episodes of Da Vinci's Demons and Outlander. Comparable to Power and more than The Missing, among Starz series.

 Re: Ash vs. Evil Dead
Hmm, yet in its second season "Power" became Starz' most successful series.

 Re: Ash vs. Evil Dead
I thought the 2nd episode was leagues above the premiere. Looks like all the trailer shots are gone now so excited for the surprises. Campbell was awesome in this one!
Also found the direction better too. Some really great intense moments.

Also found the direction better too. Some really great intense moments. Agreed. The premiere was alright, but I didn't think it was that great. I found the second episode much more entertaining and better directed. Campbell is back baby.

 Re: Ash vs. Evil Dead
Yes, a fantastic second episode. On par with or even superior to the premiere. This series is such a confident, focused, stylish blast. Everyone involved has done a fantastic job. My only minor complaint: the disgraced female cop on Ash's trail is obviously the least interesting element, rendering the cuts to her a bit of a drag.

True but I feel once she hooks back up with lawless it'll payoff (the preview of Lucy seems she's gonna be either super evil or whatever it is a lot of fun)

 Re: Ash vs. Evil Dead
I enjoy this series, but it has definitely flagged a bit since the wild, wonderful first two episodes. It is paradoxical in a way: every episode is lightning-paced, yet there is a simultaneous sense of wheel spinning. Bruce Campbell is still a major draw, but none of the peripheral characters interest me. And the computer-generated images are awful at times. A few episodes ago, a demon possessed a burned corpse, and the rendering reminded me of a video game from the mid-'90s. I am always relieved when they go practical.

 Re: Ash vs. Evil Dead
The second season premiere was a bit meh. I respect they went immediately into action, but the plot they came back with is so weak. "My children turned against me, I need you help Ash" literally took less than a second to think of. Hopefully there is some kind of a pay off. The humor was there, but it didn't work as good at times IMHO. A little bit of too much of the same.
