 Re: True Detective: Season 2
I'd be totally interested to see either season again. TDS1 is just better crafted overall, while TDS2 just takes until Ep.4 I think to really get going. TDS2 is too ambitious really, there's too much going on to fit in 10 hours. I want to see it again, just for the performances alone. The 10 hour commitment is something I'm just not going to give it now.
Btw. I think there would have been nothing wrong if they just made the 2nd season 12 episodes long, but they might have had other reasons not to do that.

 Re: True Detective: Season 2
Season 2 had a lot of problems, but I think it has been unfairly maligned in a lot of circles.

 Re: True Detective: Season 2
My biggest issue is the convoluted mystery. Season 1 was so clear-cut from start to finish. We knew what we were looking for. I can't even remember what the big story of Season 2 was.

 Re: True Detective: Season 2
What began as a "Who killed Casper", turned into a land ownership cover-up mixed with prostitution ring activities. I don't remember if we ever found out who killed Casper. Convoluted is pretty much the best word to describe it. Still it was the best show I've seen in 2015.

Looks like Season 3 has a better chance of happening now with David Milch involved along with Pizzolato http://ew.com/tv/2017/03/27/true-detect ... vid-milch/

 Re: True Detective: Season 2
Imagine True Detective's byzantine second-season storytelling (who murdered the city councilman again?) coupled with David Milch in Luck mode. People will need 50-foot flow charts to follow the plot. I hope it does return, though.

 Re: True Detective: Season 2
Glad it's returning, but hope it's different again like how the Mission Impossible films were different for the first four.
