 Re: Emmy Winners!
Very happy for Game of Thrones! Finally a win, ironically for the worst received season (at least in other eyes. I loved every bit of it.) I was hoping Lena would win best Supporting actress, but oh well.

 Re: Emmy Winners!
Yeah it is funny that while some call its weakest season it wins best drama. However, that has happened before. I think they just realized it deserved to finally win after the past 4 years.

 Re: Emmy Winners!
Extremely happy for Jon Hamm. Finally! And offcourse GOT!! It was a strong season but even then Emmy rarely awards wins for the best season. They are often well behind.

 Re: Emmy Winners!
I didn't even know that Tracy Morgan had a car crash. He's an annoying prick anyway.

 Re: Emmy Winners!
Something must be wrong with Emmy voters. A show won best comedy that's actually funny and smart unlike utter crap that has been winning since the 90's. Also GOT won? Damn. Did they have a cleanup of prick voters?

 Re: Emmy Winners!
Nah, the pricks are still there, hence why Game of Thrones won.

Other great parts for me were Sansa and Ramsay, Daenerys in Mereen, Dorne and the Sand Snakes (why don people seem to hate this with such a passion?), Tyrion and Jorah, Brienne and Podrick, and Stannis falling victim to Melisandre's charms and sacrificing his daughter.

Its win for Best Comedy Series was richly deserved. Although, it's funny. Julia Louis-Dreyfus is arguably my favorite comedic actress, but even I didn't want her to win for the fourth time in a row. I was hoping poor Amy Poehler, who has lost like 15 Emmys by now, would finally get it. So happy Jon Hamm finally got one for the last Mad Men, though. And Viola Davis: slay, queen!

 Re: Emmy Winners!
Viola Davis gave hands down the best speech of the night.
And the Tracy Morgan moment was beautiful as well and I loved the "30 Rock" cast and their reactions.
Glad Jon Hamm finally took home an Emmy. It's also the first and only Emmy for acting that "Mad Men" has ever received.
I really, really wanted Amy Poehler to win and I was thinking they would be giving it to her with Seth Meyers presenting that award and the Lorne Michaels tribute right before. But it's really hard to fault "Veep" since it's hilarious and Julia Louis Dreyfus is consistently great.
"Olive Kitteridge" was really wonderful and I'm glad to see it got so much attention.

Libs, it is exceptionally dangerous for you to sing Veep's praises with Algren on the forum. This presupposes that I care. If Algren is too busy to needle at some woman on the internet when he has a newborn baby at home, there's not much to say about that.

 Re: Emmy Winners!
I'm iffy on the winners but there were deserving ones for sure.
Veep broke the Modern Family reign, which we all knew would end despite a solid season.
Game of Thrones winning for a weak season is fine. I'll take it as a win for the entire run thus far. My theory is they believe things might not be so great from here on out so maybe this was the final chance.
Andy Samberg was fantastic. I had major reservations about him hosting but his style was perfect. If they would allow him to do the same humor, I'd love to see him tackle the Oscars.

 Re: Emmy Winners!
I'm happy for Peter Dinklage, an actor that boosts an already-excellent series. But man, I was pulling for Jonathan Banks. That performance from "Five-O" breaks my heart when I think about it. I suppose he'll have another shot, but that episode deserved it.
