Of course the smart choice would be for John and Vanessa to evict Liz, so obviously they'll evict Julia.
I can't believe I said this a few days ago and it's going to happen. In a season of dumb decisions, I shouldn't be shocked that they're doing this, specifically Johnny and Steve (even though Steve can't vote). Evict Liz and leave Austin with Julia and there's a better chance of them working individually. Keep Liz with Austin and it keeps a solid duo in there.
Julia picking Austin in that veto is sheer genius on Vanessa's part to even attempt it. When you have someone frantically suggesting something to you in the middle of the most important competition of the game for you three, I don't blame Julia at all for going along with her. I could say she's dumb but I feel like that's how good at talking Vanessa is. Look at the post-veto damage control she pulled off. She convinced them all that Austin would be playing to win. Then Austin decided the whole house was against him and fought harder. It was a genius move that I don't think could've went better for Vanessa.
So? It wasn't a master plan. It was a shot in the dark. Literally no other player currently on the show would've went for it.

Not everything has to be a master plan. Sometimes, when you're under pressure and in an intense, must-win situation, you need to act on a gut instinct rather than a well-choreographed plan.
Look, I didn't like Vanessa until the last week or two, and even now I don't love her. But I respect the hell out of her game. She's been Public Enemy No. 1 so much and somehow sidesteps the cross-hairs every time.
I wish every season was this exciting. Last year when they went 90+ days it dragged forever. This year has been fun all along. Even if it dies down now, it's still less than two weeks from finale.

Vanessa has been crazy (no secret about that and she's not everybody's favorite) but at least she has played the game right and has a strong social game. At least she isn't as mean as

Vanessa won the veto. She's in the top 3 with Steve. If Vanessa gets to the final 2 there is virtually NO way she doesn't win. She played 100X better game than the other three. I hope Liz/Steve/Jon realize they have virtually no chance to win against her. If Liz wins she's taking Vanessa as she doesn't think strategically and will not want to give a chance for $500K to the one who evicted her sister.
The only chance I can see Vanessa not get to the final 2 is if Steve wins the last HOH. Vanessa would be smart though to keep Jon around as she has the most convincing case to win against him. Steve could be the "emotional" jury vote of rewarding a nice person. While Liz has two guaranteed votes from Austin/Julia and has a chance to have a bitter jury possibly give her the win.
Also, Vanessa's game play is probably some of the best Big Brother has ever seen. She is super emotional but she used it to her full advantage that her breaking into crying when pushing people made them scared to not do what she wanted. She's definitely top 5 BB players of all time imo if she wins this thing. She had a hand in EVERY eviction.

SO happy Vanessa won the veto. I'm pretty sure she needed it or she was going home next. She FAR AND AWAY deserves to win, in my humble opinion. No matter what one thinks of her personally, she has played the hell out of this game.
As much as I like Johnny Mac's goofiness on a personal level, I hope Vanessa evicts him and not Liz tonight. I want her to take Liz to the F2, as I think she'd beat Liz more easily than Steve.
Vanessa is such a little bitch. Probably the most undeserving winner since Andy if it happens. Apologizing to Austin after stabbing him in the back? Go fuck yourself. Own up to it you bitch.
