Show Me a Hero (HBO)
Based on the career of policeman-turned-politician Nick Wasicsko and his involvement with divisive public-housing issues in Yonkers, New York, this six-part HBO miniseries is written by David Simon (The Wire, Treme) and directed by Paul Haggis (Crash, The Next Three Days). It stars, among others, Oscar Isaac, Jim Belushi, Catherine Keener, Alfred Molina, and Winona Ryder.
It will air over the course of three consecutive Sundays, starting on August 16th.

Looks good, a lot of talent involved. The story doesn't look particularly engaging, might be boring even. Keener seems misplaced with the grey wig too.

I adore Oscar Isaac but so far I find this unbelievably dull.

This proved to be an absolutely staggering and thought-provoking miniseries, from the quality of the entire ensemble's performances to the riveting portrayal of the day-to-day minutiae of politics at the local/neighborhood level. The final episode brought tears to my eyes.
