The Indians will kick major ass next year.
We've got Hafner, Martinez, Westbrook, Lee, Sabathia, Crisp, Broussard, Belliard, and Boone. The Indians are clearly the BEST developing team and this year (After the suprise last year with a late playoff push in August, only to go two games under .500) it'll be the start of the second-coming after the 95-01 years. It depends on the bullpen, but, seeing how they got better after the disasters in the beginning of the season, I expect a season over .500 and a suprise victory in the Central League.
AL East:
1. NY Yankees
2. Boston
3. Toronto
4. Baltimore
5. Tampa Bay
AL Central:
1. Cleveland
2. Minnesota
3. Chicago
4. Detroit
5. Kansas City
AL West:
1. Anaheim
2. Oakland
3. Texas
4. Seattle
NL East:
1. Atlanta
2. Florida
3. NY Mets
4. Phillies
5. Washington
NL Central:
1. St. Louis
2. Chicago
3. Houston
4. Cincinatti
5. Pittsburgh
6. Milwaukee
NL West:
1. Los Angeles
2. San Francisco
3. San Diego
4. Arizona
5. Colorado
ALDS - Cleveland over NY Yankees, Anaheim over Boston
ALCS - Anaheim over Cleveland
NLDS - St Louis over Florida, Atlanta over LA
NLCS - St Louis over Atlanta
World Series - St Louis over Anaheim

i agree. Cleveland is seriously flying under the radar. Nobody is even thinking about them. I think they'll surprise LOTS of people this year and win 90+ games and take the AL Central. Don't be surprised if they make a nice run in the playoffs as well.
This team is loaded with young talent, but it all depends on if their vets (Millwood, Wickman, Boone) can stay healthy. If Juan Gone can come back from his hamstring injury and then keep his ass off the DL, he forms a lethal middle of the batting order with Travis Hafner and Victor Martinez. Coco Crisp is a budding superstar, who came out of nowhere to hit .297 with 15HR and 71 RBI last year. And most of that came in the second half. I fully expect him to hit .300+ and close to 20HR with 30 steals. This is gonna be a fun year to watch my beloved Indians, and i cannot wait for the season to start.

Whenever going into a red state, I always bring in the red "Dubya" hat. I become one of them...
Erg. shut up. Even if they're 500, they'll still be on the bottom of their division. lol

Baseball season is 162 games long, and there will be 4 teams from each league that advances to the playoff after regular season. The 3 divisional winners, no matter how bad their records are, are in, and then the best team from the rest in each league is crowned the wild card team.

Yeah, Peavy is a good pick as well.
BTW: Rivera just blew ANOTHER save against the Red Sox. Maybe Torre shouldn't use him against Boston. He's cursed

Sox getting smashed. There is honestly a good chance they don't make the playoffs, their pitching staff is awful.

yeah, i agree. although matt clement is an upgrade from derek lowe, david wells is a serious downgrade from pedro martinez. who knows if he or schilling can stay healthy because they are both pretty far up there in age. i can see the sox making the playoffs but i can't see them winning the series again with so many pitching question marks.

Millwood looks great (oh, and I'm watching it. Thanks, WGN. ) so far. Millwood could go deep like Westbrook, too. It'd be amazing if the first two games in the season were complete games. Heh. He's only at 63 pitches in 5 innings. Not too bad...
Once Sabathia gets back, the Indians will have a good rotation. Let's see how the bullpen does this year...

I hope. I hate both of the teams now (Boston was only admirable when the curse was still in tact), but I'd still prefer seeing Boston win.
