Was ghost face the narrator? That was better than like last 20 horror movies released. Still kind of eh.

Re: MTV Developing "SCREAM" TV Series
This is on par with that godawful "Skins" reboot MTV tried a while back. I need to turn this off It's making me too angry. The Tatum and Randy clones are the worst.

Re: MTV Developing "SCREAM" TV Series
I hated this more than maybe any pilot episode of anything I've ever watched. That phone call scene at the end...What a fucking travesty.

Re: MTV Developing "SCREAM" TV Series
For something that claimed to be something new and different why was every single character an archetype of a character from the first movie, and also written in a way that showed they CLEARLY didn't understand those characters in the first place? The Tatum clone pissed me off the most. Tatum is not a bitchy mean girl. She was actually a good friend and reasonably intelligent. That's the reason she has such a fanbase with people who love this franchise even though she's offed in the first movie. The Randy character's little quips that the writers thought were clever were so obvious and forced. "This is just like The Walking Dead!" "You can't do a slasher movie as a TV series!" That's not meta. That's stupid. Also for a pilot it both felt overcooked and undercooked since, you know, nothing actually happened. All of the acting was awful. I'm very worked up over this I hope Sidney ends up being the killer and offs them all

Re: MTV Developing "SCREAM" TV Series
Acting is attrocious. Story is dumb. I hate all of the characters. But I loved it. Gloriously awful. It's like Harper's Island for the MTV crowd! HAHAHA Just bad.

Re: MTV Developing "SCREAM" TV Series
The first episode is almost like a remake of the first movie to an extent and I kind of wish they did more differently because I went into this trying my damndest to pretend it had nothing to do with the wonderful film series. The characters are pretty much carbon copies of the originals but they have nothing on those characters. I really hope they don't copy the killers from the original. Oh, and I 110% agree with Cory on the "Tatum" character. That annoyed me the most. Tatum was really likable. This girl on the show is just a bitch.
Technically it's bad but it is somewhat entertaining and I'm curious to see where it goes. I'll keep watching. Also it is nice seeing Tracy Middendorf (Wes Craven's New Nightmare) in something again. I loved her in New Nightmare.

Re: MTV Developing "SCREAM" TV Series
I tried to give this another shot tonight but turned it off after the flop Gale Weathers/Sarah Koenig ripoff and the bathroom scene reference to the first movie. Bye forever you piece of shit.

Please keep watching, cory. I can't bring myself to waste time on another episode, but I can live through you.

Re: MTV Developing "SCREAM" TV Series
Yeah it's pretty bad, but what do you expect from a crappy channel like MTV ? I'm not expecting it to get much better, but it is somewhat entertaining. It has no reason being called Scream though, because the plot is straight out of My Bloody Valentine. Why couldn't we just have a tv show made from that instead ?

Most of MTV's scripted shows are really good though. This has to be the worst of the ones they currently have but it's still ok enough to keep watching.

Re: MTV Developing "SCREAM" TV Series
Agreed - for the most part they do a good job and are on par with ABC Family or something. "Awkward," "Faking It" and "Finding Carter" are all good shows, and I don't watch "Teen Wolf" anymore but I know it has a sizable fanbase (and also that it's better than this garbage).

Re: MTV Developing "SCREAM" TV Series
Man this show is kind of awful. None of the characters are remotely appealing. Wish it had been the annoying ho-bag that got offed. Can't stand her. I guess the one character was right. You can't do a slasher movie as a TV series. I don't even know why I'm still watching. It's only gotten worse since the pilot.

It has become like homework. It is so hard to get through. The acting is just the worst.

Re: MTV Developing "SCREAM" TV Series
Loved Scream 1 & 2. 3 was awful except the ending. Never watched 4.
The pilot was hard to sit through. I haven't watch the rest of the series and don't plan on it.

Scream 4 is great IMO. The show is worse than 3. It's just so so bad.

Re: MTV Developing "SCREAM" TV Series
Yeah sure the acting hasn't been great and the end was predictable but I've enjoyed this. Certainly much better than expected. I now have doubt Scream Queens will even live up to this.
